A meaningful recovery starts with a personal goal and for Barbara Parrish, that goal was getting back to her normal routine.

Barbara came to Alpine Valley for rehabilitation with bladder cancer. At admission, she needed hands-on assistance with getting up, walking with a rolling walker, and completing everyday self-care tasks.

Through physical, occupational, and speech therapy, Barbara worked on balance, strength, safety awareness, and strategies to make daily activities more manageable. By discharge, she could complete transfers, walk with her rolling walker, and manage self-care tasks with supervision.

Congratulations, Barbara! We wish you continued progress and many meaningful moments at home.

Our Community Fair brought local families and community members together for a day of fun at Alpine Valley Post Acute. Guests enjoyed face painting, a visit to the petting zoo, tasty treats, and time with local vendors throughout the event.

A month of giving turned into three boxes of school supplies for local students.

Throughout August, the Alpine Valley Post Acute community collected supplies for Lebanon School District, Lebanon PA Southwest Elementary School. Activity Assistants Amy Witter and Kim Schaeffer had the pleasure of delivering the donations, and we are grateful to everyone who helped make the collection possible.

Fall fun is coming back to Alpine Valley!

Join us for the 2nd Annual Fall Community Fair on Saturday, September 12, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Bring the family for community vendors, free blood pressure screenings, pumpkin decorating, face painting, balloon animals, a petting zoo, a bounce house, games, and free hamburgers and hot dogs.

We will also have raffle baskets, with proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association and Alzheimer's Association.

The fair will be held outdoors at Alpine Valley Post Acute & Healthcare Center, 945 Duke Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. The event will be rescheduled in the event of rain.
