Seed cycling worked for Samira—here’s her story 👉

A couple of years ago, she was overwhelmed by the demands of nursing school, a move, and caring for her two young kids. Struggling with heavy periods and debilitating cramps, she turned to birth control for relief, only to face severe acne that affected her self-esteem. Realizing she needed a better solution, she discovered seed cycling.

As a nurse, Samira understood the importance of nutrition for hormonal health and began seed cycling with beeya while transitioning off birth control. Within a few months, her acne cleared, her periods became lighter and less painful, and she felt empowered. Now, seed cycling is a daily ritual for her, and she confidently supports her hormonal health. Samira highly recommends it to anyone facing similar challenges.

Come join the squad 😏

From helping ease PMS symptoms to fortifying heart health, magnesium is a powerhouse for our bodies.

You might be deficient if…

👉 Stress and anxiety never ends
👉 Muscle cramps keep you down
👉 PMS comes like clockwork
👉 Blood sugar is like a rollercoaster ride
👉 Insomnia keeps you from dreaming
👉 Migraines always ruin your vibe
👉 Digestion has you locked in the bathroom
👉 Fatigue keeps you from a good time

This miracle mineral, involved in over 600 enzymatic reactions (including our hormones!), is one that over 70% of us are deficient in—and most of us don’t get enough from diet alone…

So let’s keep talking about it! 👭

Magnesium is an essential nutrient, impacting everything from our brain to our bones (and our hormones!). Yet, most of us don’t get enough…

In today’s world, our soils are becoming increasingly depleted, which means our food overall has less mineral content. Couple that with the prevalence of processed food and the fact that our digestion isn’t as robust as it once was, it’s no surprise that many of us fall short from the daily recommendation, which is around 300-350mg for most women.

These magnesium-rich foods can be dietary saviors in a world where deficiency is all too common. From pumpkin seeds to dark chocolate, these tasty options can help you maintain optimal levels:

✨ pumpkin seeds - 168mg per ounce
✨ spinach - 157mg per cup (cooked)
✨ almonds - 76mg per ounce
✨ brown rice - 84mg per cup (cooked)
✨ mackerel - 97mg per 3.5 ounces
✨ cashews - 82mg per ounce
✨ swiss chard - 150mg per cup (cooked)
✨ black beans - 60mg per 1/2 cup (cooked)
✨ avocado - 58mg per 1 medium avocado
✨ dark chocolate - 64mg per ounce (70-85% cocoa)
✨ quinoa - 118mg per cup (cooked)
✨ tofu - 53mg per 3.5 ounces

If you’re looking for more nutritional insurance, we created a magnesium blend with three highly absorbable forms that is delicious to scoop into plain water or mocktails.

If you struggle with painful periods, skin issues, fatigue, weight changes or any symptom of hormonal imbalance, it might be a sign that your liver could use a little TLC… 👇👇

Here are a few key reasons:

✨ Hormone metabolism: The liver helps metabolize and break down hormones like estrogen and testosterone. Proper liver function ensures that excess hormones are effectively cleared.

✨ Detoxification: The liver filters toxins and waste products from the blood, which can otherwise interfere with hormonal balance. A healthy liver minimizes the buildup of these harmful substances.

✨ Binding proteins: The liver produces proteins that bind hormones, such as s*x hormone-binding globulin (SHBG). These proteins regulate the availability of hormones in the bloodstream.

✨ Regulation of blood sugar: The liver helps maintain stable blood sugar levels, which is essential for hormonal balance. Fluctuating blood sugar can lead to disruptions with insulin and cortisol.

✨ Cholesterol management: The liver produces cholesterol, which supports the production of hormones like cortisol, aldosterone, and s*x hormones.

Using food as medicine, as well as limiting our alcohol consumption, are powerful ways to support this crucial organ.

Which of these foods are you adding to your grocery list? 😋

Protein gets a lot of attention, but we seriously need to talk about fiber 👇

On average, American adults eat just 10-15g of fiber per day—when the recommendation for women is 25g per day.

Fiber is crucial for several reasons, especially when it comes to hormonal health:

🌱 Blood sugar: Fiber helps stabilize blood sugar levels, which has major implications for hormonal health, especially for women dealing with PCOS.

🌱 Gut health: Fiber nourishes beneficial gut bacteria, which are essential for eliminating excess hormones, particularly estrogen.

🌱 Satiety: Fiber-rich foods promote feelings of fullness, which can help with weight management. Maintaining a healthy weight is essential for balanced hormone levels.

🌱 Menstrual health: Some studies suggest that a high-fiber diet may alleviate menstrual symptoms and support overall reproductive health.

Need inspiration for making fiber taste good? We send our best hormone-friendly and fiber-rich recipes in our weekly newsletter.

“I’ve pretty much cut alcohol out of my life… and I’ve never looked back.”

Co-founder here 👋

Crazy how things change!

Here’s the TLDR: Alcohol really impacted the way that I felt, and I realized it actually didn’t align with what I value—so it’s not a part of my routine anymore. Instead, you can catch me sipping on magnesium mocktails before heading to bed by 10pm.

Magnesium is a miracle mineral that can promote better sleep, mood, hormones, blood sugar, and is health-giving instead of depleting.

A glass of beeyavibe before bed is my way of saying thank you to my body and honoring my needs. And I think you’ll feel the same.

Comment “BOOST” to learn more about this powerful mineral and my favorite way to take it 🍹

Cheers to honoring your health!

🚨 NEWS THIS WEEK 👀

A new study revealed that black plastic in kids’ toys, takeout containers, and kitchen utensils may be loaded with toxic flame retardants, thanks to contamination from recycled electronics.

About 70% of samples tested contained decabromodiphenyl ether (decaBDE), a flame retardant fully banned in 2021 after being linked to cancer, endocrine and thyroid issues, and developmental risks 😣

Experts advise steering clear of black plastic for food and toys—opt for safer options like stainless steel and wood instead.

Real 😂 Protein is a powerhouse for women’s hormonal health at every life stage though…

Puberty ➡️ Fuels healthy growth and kick starts the cycle with protein’s role in hormone production.

Reproductive Years ➡️ Supports menstrual health and fertility while keeping metabolism in check.

Pregnancy ➡️ Essential for fetal development and the production of pregnancy hormones—think of it as baby-building blocks!

Menopause ➡️ Helps manage hormonal shifts, maintains muscle mass, and supports healthy body composition.

Post-Menopause ➡️ Crucial for preserving muscle and bone health as estrogen levels dip.

Prioritizing quality protein sources—like lean meats, fish, legumes, seeds—supports hormonal balance, healthy blood sugar, and can even lift mood (let’s be real, who wouldn’t be happy about a delicious, satisfying meal?) 😋

What’s your favorite way to get extra protein every day?

Who wants steady energy, clearer skin, mental clarity and less hormone symptoms?

All of the above are side effects of steady glucose levels 🙌

The best part—supporting blood sugar balance doesn’t have to be complicated.

You’re probably already mindful of things like drinking enough water and eating your veggies. Adding these quick hacks to habits you already have, like having a splash of apple cider vinegar (ACV) in water before your meal or adding protein and veggies to what you’re already eating, can make a massive positive impact!

🗞️ JUST IN 🗞️

Major win for women’s health!

The Department of Defense (DoD) is ramping up its commitment to women’s health, pledging $500 million for research to deepen our understanding of conditions affecting women.

“These funds will be used to support research on topics such as rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue, eating disorders, and gynecological cancers.” - DoD

Why is this funding vital? 👇

Women in the military—over 230,000 active-duty and nearly 2 million retirees—face significantly higher rates of certain health issues compared to men. By investing in targeted research, the DoD isn’t just addressing unique health needs of women in service; it’s setting the stage for breakthroughs that could benefit everyone.

Better funding means better care—and that’s a win for all 👭

Magnesium does it again… 👇👇

Antidepressants are often the go-to for treating major depression, but they don’t work for everyone and can come with risks—especially for young people.

But here’s the good news: case studies show that supplementing 125-300mg of magnesium (highly absorbable forms like glycinate) with meals can lead to rapid recovery from major depression—often in less than a week! 🤯

This vital mineral plays a key role in brain function and mood regulation, helping to manage neurotransmitters that impact our feelings and stress. Low magnesium levels are linked to higher depression risk, as it’s essential for producing serotonin, the “feel-good” hormone 🧠

Shockingly, over 50% of us are magnesium deficient. Blame modern diets, soil depletion, and lifestyles filled with stress and processed foods.

We’re huge fans of magnesium to support hormonal health—and with depression rates on the rise, tackling magnesium deficiency could be a game-changer for mental health too.

The findings here are compelling, and we’re hopeful that more research is on its way. (PMID: 16542786)

Want to learn more about how magnesium can support you? Comment “MAG” and we’ll send you more about our favorite, highly absorbable forms 👇

As always, we recommend working with a practitioner before starting new supplements or if you’re taking SSRIs.
