Hot Brands of 2026: Sap’s Original

A modern take on Gatorade, in a contrarian can with Gen Z appeal. The branding reminds Startup CPG founder Daniel Scharff of old school gas station b**r, evoking nostalgia from an aisle over, available in Blackberry Citrus, Passionfruit, or my favorite, the Lemon-Lime. 🍋🍋‍🟩

Don’t let the classic branding fool you, the drink is modern - 20 purpose driven ingredients including 6 electrolytes for smart hydration, 2 aminos for absorption, and 3 adaptogens to aid with cognition and inflammation.

Some great distribution already including Plaid Pantry, HEB, some great 7-Elevens, Market of Choice. Big congrats to Gus Briggs and Jordan Wilson 🎉

For the first time, The Fresh Market opened its doors to the Startup CPG community! 🛒✨

Before the Grocery Run, brands joined The Fresh Market team for an exclusive store tour to learn firsthand how they discover new products, champion innovation, and identify the next generation of category leaders.

With 175 stores across 22 states and customers who love discovering something new, it’s the kind of opportunity emerging brands dream about!

A huge thank you to The Fresh Market team for welcoming our community and kicking off the day with such an inspiring experience. 🙌

Grocery Run with KeHE IS BACK🛒🏃‍♀️

Our next Grocery Run with KeHE is happening on February 8 in Phoenix, AZ, the night before the KeHE Summer Show. Hundreds of KeHE buyers and reps already in town will be walking the floor.

At past KeHE Grocery Runs we’ve had buyers from Sprouts, Fresh Thyme, Gelson’s, Giant Eagle, Erewhon, INFRA + more. And community brands won BIG. Here’s what a few had to say:
