As a parent of an adult living with autism that was just like the students Miss Jess is describing, it is hard. My son is now approaching 40 years old and when he was diagnosed over 35 years ago, there were only 8 schools in the LAUSD that even tried to deal with children who had his aggressive behavior. I am extremely proud of my daughter and what she does to help teach the children in the special needs community. I am equally as proud of my son Jamaal Street who continually battles daily, trying to live a “normal” life with autism. There are days I still have to talk him off the ledge, but am thankful to God He has Given me the tools and blessed me with the expertise to deal with those and many more behaviors that our special
Loved ones exhibit. Please keep all teachers, but especially those who teach our special needs children in your prayers. It takes a special teacher to teach our children. My daughter Jessica is that teacher!!❤️❤️
