After an adjustment, you usually don’t need to stay in bed or avoid all movement. Continue with comfortable, normal activities and follow the specific instructions your chiropractor gave you.

Avoid forcing movements, repeatedly cracking your neck or back, or pushing through pain. If you notice new, unusual, or worsening symptoms, contact your chiropractor.

Have questions after your adjustment? Book a Re-LAX follow-up through the link in our bio.

Perimenopause can look different for every woman. Changes in sleep, mood, energy, periods, hot flashes, night sweats, or body composition may be part of the transition—but hormones are not always the only possible cause.

Instead of guessing, pay attention to when the changes started, how often they happen, and how they are affecting your daily life. A healthcare professional can help you look at the full picture and determine what may need further evaluation.

If something feels different, call Re-LAX Chiropractic + Wellness to schedule your consultation at our office near LAX Airport.

That “pop” doesn’t mean a bone moved back into place—and a louder sound does not mean a better adjustment.

The sound is usually linked to the rapid formation of a small gas-filled cavity within the joint fluid as the joint moves. This process is called cavitation.

Some adjustments make a sound, while others do not. The presence or absence of a pop alone does not tell us how your body will respond to care.

If the same area keeps feeling stiff or you constantly feel the need to crack it, it may be time to find out what is contributing to the problem.

Schedule a consultation at Re-LAX Chiropractic + Wellness so we can evaluate your movement and recommend care based on your specific needs. Book through the link in our bio.

Your body often gives you small warning signs before discomfort begins interfering with your everyday life.

Occasional soreness can happen, especially after a busy day or a new activity. But when discomfort keeps returning, lasts longer than expected, or causes you to change how you move, it may be time to pay closer attention.

You don’t have to wait until the pain becomes severe. A proper evaluation can help identify what may be contributing to the problem and determine the right next steps for you.

If recurring pain or stiffness is affecting your sleep, work, exercise, or daily routine, contact Re-LAX Chiropractic + Wellness at 424-800-2488 to schedule an appointment.

If you have sciatica, the first thing you need isn’t necessarily another random stretch you found online.

You need to understand what’s causing the nerve symptoms.

Sciatica describes pain, tingling, numbness, or sometimes weakness that can travel from the low back or buttock down the leg. It happens when the sciatic nerve or the nerve roots that form it become irritated or compressed.

A herniated disc can be one cause, but it’s not the only possible cause.

That’s why what helps one person with sciatica may not be right for another.

If a movement or stretch makes your symptoms travel farther down your leg, don’t keep forcing it. And if you’re experiencing numbness, weakness, worsening pain, or symptoms that aren’t improving, get evaluated.

Your sciatica needs the right approach for what’s actually causing it.

Sprain and strain sound similar, but they involve different tissues.

A sprain is an injury to a ligament — the strong tissue that connects one bone to another. An ankle sprain is a common example.

A strain involves a muscle or tendon. Tendons are the tissues that connect muscles to bones. Strains can happen when a muscle or tendon is overstretched or injured.

Both can cause pain, swelling, and difficulty moving, so symptoms alone may not tell you which one you have.

If you’ve had an injury and the pain is significant, getting worse, or making it difficult to use the area normally, get it evaluated.

Your spine isn’t supposed to look like a straight line—and that’s normal! 🦴

When you look at your spine from the side, it has three natural curves:

• Cervical lordosis — the curve in your neck
• Thoracic kyphosis — the curve in your upper and middle back
• Lumbar lordosis — the curve in your lower back

These curves are a normal part of your anatomy. They help your body stay balanced, move, and handle the forces of everyday activities like walking, lifting, and sitting.

And remember: everyone’s spinal curves can look a little different. There isn’t one exact shape that every healthy spine must have.
