We don’t talk about this enough. ⬇️
People see you smiling, showing up, getting things done, and assume you’re handling everything just fine. But what they don’t see is what happens behind closed doors.
They don’t see the tears, the exhaustion, the moments when you wonder how you’re going to make it through another day.
And sometimes, the reason you’re still standing isn’t because you’re incredibly strong. It’s because someone loves you enough to hold you up when you can’t stand on your own.
My husband has seen versions of me that the rest of the world never will. He’s loved me through seasons when I barely recognized myself. He’s carried things I didn’t have the strength to carry and reminded me that I don’t have to figure everything out alone.
And I think that’s one of the most beautiful things about real love. It’s not just having someone to celebrate the good days with. It’s having someone who stays when life gets really, really hard.
We talk so much about being strong, independent, and resilient. But I think we need to talk more about how beautiful it is to be loved through our weakest moments, too.
Because sometimes the greatest strength isn’t holding it all together. It’s allowing someone who loves you to see you COMPLETELY fall apart.
And knowing they’re not going anywhere. ❤️
If you have someone who’s loved you through a season you weren’t sure you’d survive, TELL THEM what that love has meant to you OR TAG THEM HERE. Don’t wait for a special occasion.
And if you’re here learning that you don’t have to pretend you’re fine all the time, CLICK THE FOLLOW. There’s a whole lot more life to live when we stop pretending and start being real about what it means to be human.
