Proud of Our Team!

Several members of the UNC Health Southeastern leadership team attended the 13th Annual Carolina Care Conference on Thursday, where healthcare leaders from across UNC Health came together to share best practices, learn from one another, and advance excellence in patient care and the patient experience.

The Carolina Care Conference provides an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the health system, explore innovative approaches to care delivery, and strengthen our shared commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care for every patient, every day.

Thank you to our team members for representing UNC Health Southeastern and for bringing back ideas and inspiration that will help us continue improving the care and experience we provide to our patients, families, and community.

🦁💛 Leo’s Legacy Project continues to make a difference!

Not long ago, we shared our appreciation for Leo’s Legacy Project and their generous donation of 20 Little Lion Welcome Kits to UNC Health Southeastern. At that time, they were already working toward providing even more, and we're so happy to share that they've done just that!

Another 20 Little Lion Welcome Kits have been donated to bring a little extra comfort, encouragement and care to our patients and their families.

A special thank you to Elena, Dr. Abdou and everyone who supports Leo’s Legacy Project for continuing to turn generosity into something meaningful for families right here in our community.

UNC Health Southeastern President & CEO Chris Ellington spoke to the Lumberton Rotary Club today about the health system's ongoing efforts to strengthen and expand healthcare services for our region.

During his presentation, Ellington highlighted key initiatives focused on advancing patient care, including the work underway to achieve Level III Trauma Center designation and the pursuit of Bariatric Center of Excellence recognition.

These important milestones reflect UNC Health Southeastern's commitment to providing high-quality, specialized care closer to home and improving health outcomes for the communities it serves.

We were excited to welcome students from Fairmont High School and Purnell Swett High School today for their annual Fall "Shadow" Day at UNC Health Southeastern!

Through our ongoing partnership with the Public Schools of Robeson County, students have the opportunity to explore a variety of healthcare careers and experience firsthand what it's like to work in a hospital setting. This valuable program helps inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals by allowing them to observe careers in action and learn from our dedicated team members.

Students were welcomed by Patrick Ebri, Vice President & Chief Engagement Officer; Lara Johnson, Recruitment & Retention Specialist; and Montressa Smith, Director of Engagement & Culture. We are honored to help shape future healthcare leaders and look forward to an exciting day of learning and discovery!
