💪Did you know you can build muscle strength without lifting heavy weights?

Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Therapy is a specialized physical therapy technique that uses a cuff to partially restrict blood flow to an arm or leg during exercise. By performing low-load exercises with higher repetitions, muscles can respond similarly to how they would during heavier resistance training.

Our speech therapist, Ashley Babin, MA, CCC-SLP, served as a guest speaker at the Baton Rouge Area Speech-Language Pathologists (BRASLP) meeting earlier this week.

Ashley shared her expertise on cough disorders, helping fellow speech therapists better understand how to assess and treat patients who have difficulty coughing effectively.
