Get ready to fill out your reports on me, cause I'm going to vent here. Frankly I expect some "unfriending" to happen and that is fine too.
I believe we all have the right to worship as we please, but I also know that our country, the United States of America, was founded on Christian principles. I believe we should be proud of our country. A quote is a quote. It should not be amended or watered down. The news media should not be afraid to use the "Love of Christ" part. Why they state, βBecause, using the words Christ or God might offend someone!β Well, now it's my turn to be offended!
I'm offended that the news media would edit it out.
Offended that Christians are being asked to tread lightly, so as not to offend someone of another religion. This man, Jesus, loved God, loved his people, loved the world, and gave his life for the sins of all people. Those who believe in Him, and accept Him as their personal Savior, will have everlasting life !!!
This Founding Principle is actually embedded in our Declaration of Independence: βWe hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.β
I hope every Christian or every person that believes in God who is OFFENDED will copy this and paste it to their status.....βdon't ever forget that we're one nation under GOD.

An appointment I have been waiting on for months happens today. After all my digging and research, I found an organization called Adult Disability Medical Healthcare, Inc. that takes a holistic, comprehensive approach to the care of individuals with challenges like Kayleighβs. My soul wears thin at times when I think of various avenues I have tried and what has been sacrificed to seek out the best care for her. There is SO much she could achieve in this life if given what she needs to do so. She is ready and willing to learn what is needed for the independence she hopes to obtain and I am ready to see that happen too. This could be so much simpler than what GAβs policies make it. We are now entering month four of no access to this life changing waiver she was awarded. No one seems to be willing to step up in accountability for that however.
Anyway, can you send up a special prayer about today? Iβm holding on to hope that this opens doors that were closed before.

We had a wonderful time this morning at the Adult Disability Medical Healthcare, Inc. Run for Health! We partnered with our friends at Synergies Work, a nonprofit that provides support to micro-entrepreneurs with disabilities. Basketeer (emeritus) Daniel came out to help us spread the word about Three Basketeers and his new venture, Vivid Vocals VO. Basketeer Brett kept busy putting together Heart Wreath Journal sets. It was such a beautiful morning!

Uniting for Change advocates and Dr. Andrea Videlefsky with Adult Disability Medical Healthcare, Inc. talk about the COVID-19 vaccine.
Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers, or the folks who support them with everyday tasks, are now eligible and can sign up to get the vaccine in Georgia.
This video was made in partnership with Sangha Unity Network - SUN and Georgia Advocacy Office to provide information to self-advocates across Georgia about the COVID-19 vaccine.

This Thursday, February 25 at 4 pm, Center for Leadership in Disability and Adult Disability Medical Healthcare, Inc. are hosting an important webinar: Self-care During Covid-19
Covid-19 has caused a lot of time stuck at home filled with loneliness. The staying at home has lasted longer than anyone thought it would! It is very important to take care of yourself during these times in both your mind and your body. This webinar session will share simple self-care tips that we hope will help you feel better during this time.
Learning objectives:
β’ Discuss the impact stress, emotions, and isolation have on physical and mental health.
β’ Understanding the personal loss, grief, and stress caused by Covid-19.
β’ Identify self-care, wellness, and resiliency strategies during the current pandemic.
If you are a person with a developmental and/or intellectual impairment, consider joining Georgia State University/Center for Leadership in Development & Adult Disability Medical Healthcare, Inc. Thursday, February 25th at 4PM for "Self-Care During COVID-19".
There is funding available to help pay for the cost of supporting your child if the school system is has moved to virtual learning. The provider can be a program, family member, or friend. The support can be provided in your home. Please share.
