How we spend our time, shows us what we value;
Scarcity mindset is; I would love to go to the gym everyday but I really don’t have the time. What you’re really saying is; I have not decided that the gym is worth my time and by extension- I haven’t decided that my body or my wellness is worth the time.

Abundance mindset; there are massive amounts of time for the things that I want to do. What you are really saying by extension- when I feel good and I’m taking care of myself, all the benefits trickle down to my career & my family because they get a better, less stressed version of me.

Time making tips;

🌟let go of perfectionism and ask hubs which days works best for him to get the kids ready for school 1 or 2 days a week.

🌟Have Instacart do your long grocery shopping.

🌟Ask hubs which days work best for him to do drop off or pick up a couple days a week.

🌟Say no to something you don’t really want to do or go to.

🌟Ditch the law and order or Netflix marathon 🤷🏾‍♀️

Busy is not a status symbol- let that go!

Moving in this way will help increase your productivity at the office and/or help you build a bigger business and keep those cortisol levels down so you get rid of the stress belly & keep those hormones in balanced.

Our little jetsetter started her first day at Morgan Stanley today.

I said “I know dads friend got you the job but you still go in there with a good attitude, ready to learn and be the person that will go get the answer…and not quick to say I don’t know…I can’t stand those people that don’t know and don’t care to know.

I know it’s not marketing (her degree is in marketing) but this is a foot in the door. You’ll make the connections you need along the way.

Show up and strive to be one of the best. Not the person on their phone quick to tell everyone that ain’t my job. You never know whose watching.”

One of my biggest fears is being so afraid of change, that I am willing to stay in the familiar discomfort of staying the same.

I am so grateful that I am the kind of person that is always striving to be better and do better. I have to give my mother credit for that.

As a young girl I watched my mother (a stay at home mom at the time) get tired of being poor. So she moved past her fear of failure, put the money together and went back to school to get her diploma. Then landed an amazing job working for the government...a job she retired from.

Now as a little kid I was not happy about this as it meant the cupcakes that were waiting for me when I got home from school everyday were no longer there...lol

But adult me is grateful, because that one lesson shaped my drive to always push to be better, learn, grow and invest in myself.

I am grateful to her and to God that I saw that and I pray I instilled that same drive in my children.

I am still afraid to fail....but I do my best to move in faith and I give the fear to God.

As women, we often prioritize the needs of others before our own. We keep pushing when instead we need to pause so we don't crash or have an emotional explosion.

Even high performance athletes and successful entrepreneurs know the secret to success is giving yourself the space to recharge.

Remember, self-care is not selfish; it's a beautiful act of self-love. By dedicating time to care for yourself, you're better equipped to support and nurture those around you. Your well-being matters, and it's time to make yourself a priority.

This is one of the areas we work on in our hormone program with our clients. Making yourself a priority and operating at your best looks and feels different for everyone. For example one of my clients hates yoga but loves meditation and it helps her sleep better.... aiding in her weight loss, lower stress levels and higher libido.

Remember being a pr***en and dreaming about how you couldn't wait to be an adult?

I do...I remember thinking I wanted to be a high powered investment banker that dressed her ass off, is beautiful, successful and commands a room when she walks in😎.

Well, I didn't become an investment banker, but I did feel the power of being a young attractive woman in my twenties and early thirties😊.

Remember that...when you walked into a room and all heads turned...even the women looked?

Then we get older and our hormones change☹️
Life happens
We're under more stress
We aren't getting enough sleep
We're still eating for convenience &
We put ourselves on the back burner

Cortisol is up when it should be down.
Estrogen is going buck wild like she's on spring break
Progesterone is sucking the life out of you and if you're like me you start looking haggard like the women on the left😒.

The journey to the woman on the right was fueled by imperfect action. I was no longer waiting for the perfect time and I realized I couldn't keep trying to do what worked in my twenties because my body quite frankly was different...my hormones are different now.

Not when you’re high cortisol and running two successful businesses sis. Ladies pay attention to the signs; salty cravings, sugar cravings, trouble sleeping & high anxiety are just a few signs that you’re high cortisol.

Cortisol gets a bad rep but it’s not JUST a stress hormone, it’s actually a steroid hormone and is meant to follow a rhythm in our bodies all day but in todays high stress, overly caffeinated and sleep deprived world….it’s usually wreaking havoc so we have negative feelings about it.

But we actually need it. That’s exactly why stress management one of the key is focuses of our program. We ain’t just meal plans and workouts. She is now down over 21lbs. 😎

I find that I always need to be working towards a goal, whether it be a vacation or a race to stay focused on my health and fitness.

Because of this over the years I’ve done several things like 5k’s, 10k’s, half marathons, sprint triathlons and fitness competitions. 😎

Somewhere along the way, this inspired my husband, and he started running the Peachtree road race 10K with me over 5 years ago…every year.

As you all know, he is not physically capable of running it with me anymore due to his cancer diagnosis.

So in honor of him and what we used to do together, I am running this race.

Although I haven’t really trained for it because I was traveling. We are two weeks out and todays run was harder than expected and slow because I chose a hilly route. 🤦🏾‍♀️ But speed isn’t my main focus.

My main focus is to do this race fast, slow or somewhere in between in honor of him.

This used to be our race and I’m doing this for him, because he can’t.

My meals are similar to the ones in my 12 week hormone nutrition transformation plan.

Trust me I tried a lot of craziness…
Starving myself with juice cleanses only to get so hungry that I inhaled my kids hotdogs 🙈and then felt like a failure.

Fasting and feeling like I might pass out. And remember phentermine and b12 shots. Cheese and crackers😱…..the lengths at which we’ll go, to lose the weight fast only to gain it all back.

Thank God I studied nutrition and started feeding my body. That’s how these meals are designed. Delicious nutrition to balance your body so you feel good and drop the unwanted weight.

If you’re underestimating the importance of sleep & stress reduction on your weight loss journey, let me introduce you to my client “the sleepless workaholic.”
My girl is a boss…she runs two thriving businesses, she’s a wife and a mom.
And just like the rest of us, she was putting her needs on the back burner.

The sad truth is -

Here in the U.S., our healthcare system is built on a profit model.

The curriculum for MDs is not built around nutrition and therefore most medical doctors are unable to heal the root cause of most illnesses through nutrition alone.

Don't get me wrong - it's getting better but is still a very slow progress.

I mean, besides, it's easier and there's more money in writing your prescriptions that act as a Band-Aid for your symptoms instead of trying to discover the root cause.

Which, if you're not aware, your prescriptions often lead to other illnesses.

This is usually the case with autoimmune, thyroid, and other hormonal conditions.

BUT...

You are in control of your body!!

If you know that your doctor will be quick to write you a prescription and you would like a natural way to heal your body - truly heal it from the inside/ out...

You don't need to try figuring out HOW on your own.

I am an Integrative Nutritionist whose education is based off of natural and holistic ways of healing your body through nutrition.

Meet Revisa ❤️

When Revisa came to me she was what we call "subclinical" when it comes to a thyroid disorder diagnosis. That means she has all of the symptoms but her levels are what traditional medicine doctors call "in the normal range". Well, first of all, those "normal ranges" are taken from other sick people.

PSA: We want your thyroid to run optimally - not "normal" - It does run your entire metabolism!

Revisa's symptoms were:
🙅‍♀️ Resistant to weight loss
🙅‍♀️ Unsure of an effective nutrition regimen
🙅‍♀️ Unsure where to begin
🙅‍♀️ Highly stressed
🙅‍♀️ Depressed
🙅‍♀️ No energy

I knew we had some work to do, but we eased her into the program by:
✅ Created a customized nutrition program based on her symptoms
✅ Created a customized workout program based on her imbalances, fitness level, and lifestyle
✅ Guided her on what to speak with her doctor about and recommended supplements
✅ Worked with her on stress management

Finally, her weight started moving!

She is officially down 8lbs and 5.5 inches in 5 weeks!

Her depression is lifting, her stress levels are coming down and she is finally starting to feel better!

We have been taking it slow and doing what works best for her and we are so proud of her!! I cannot wait to see just how far this beauty goes.

Your brain & your physical performance are influenced by how well you are hydrated.

Even being a little dehydrated (1%-3% of your body weight) can affect your mood, ability to concentrate, memory, and make you feel anxious and fatigued. It can even give you a headache.

And if you’re dehydrated during sports or your workouts, everything can feel like it’s more work (mentally & physically), which can affect how well you perform.

The other day I saw a past client at the grocery store. She is a great person – always makes me smile!

But as soon as she saw me… I noticed she looked a little guilty.

“I keep meaning to reach out to you, but honestly I’ve been too tired to even think about it,” she told me.

Guess what? I totally get it.

When we get stressed … bogged down at work … overwhelmed … or even sidetracked by lousy weather … it can set us up to feel like everything is just too much work.

Even our own self-care.

But I’m going to tell you something you already know, deep down.

Once you get (re)started, you’re going to feel so good – that you’ll wonder why you waited so long.

There’s nothing more energizing than GETTING STARTED.

Because you realize it’s not the big deal you’d built it up to be in your head … you feel proud of yourself for taking action … and you get excited about all the possibilities!

That momentum propels you forward until you start noticing all those amazing physical benefits …

… the glowing skin, the balanced hormones, the return of your libido ☺the spring in your step, the way your clothes fit, and that feeling you get when you can easily climb a flight or two of stairs and not feel out of breath!

I know I can always use some of that in my life! How about you?!
Hey there momma, do you need an easy recipe for a busy night of kids activities and homework or just after a busy night at the office?...….This one doesn’t get ANY easier…

It’s got just 3 ingredients… but you can add a bonus topping: cheese!

It’s a perfect option for those “emergency” nights when you don’t have the energy or time to make dinner from scratch.

It also makes for a GREAT meal prep recipe.

👉🏼TIP: You can use veggie burgers, ground turkey, chicken, or beef in this recipe.

Sloppy Joe Stuffed Potatoes
(serves 4)

4 sweet potatoes
1 lb (450 g) lean ground meat
1 12 oz (680 g) jar of your favorite good-quality marinara sauce
Optional: grated cheddar or goat’s cheese

Wash, dry, and pierce the potatoes with a fork several times. Place in the microwave to cook (time will vary depending on your oven, 15-20 minutes).

While it cooks, heat a skillet over medium heat and spray with nonstick coating. Place the ground meat in the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally to break it up into bite-sized chunks. Cook until brown, 5-7 minutes. Drain off excess fat and add the marinara sauce.

When the potatoes are ready, place on plates and slice along the top, opening up to fluff the potato. Top with the marinara mixture, and sprinkle with optional cheese. Delish!
Real talk….I chose to eat right 80% of the time and workout…so when I get dressed to go out, I feel good in my clothes.
