It’s baking day at The Porch Stand Bakery & Soapery!

An early start, plenty of coffee, and ovens running most of the day! It’s a long day in the kitchen, but I love knowing all this fresh sourdough and homemade goodness will be heading out into our community this weekend. Everything is baking up beautifully so far!

We’ve got a great menu for you this weekend, plus a few extras!

Did you know it takes 3–4 days to prepare everything for the Porch Stand each week? From mixing and shaping dough to letting those sourdough loaves rest in the fridge before baking day, there’s always something happening in my kitchen!

I love dough dump day, but my favorite part is hearing from you and knowing how much you’re enjoying everything. It makes all those hours worth it!

Last day for pre-orders for this weekend!

This week I'm also doing a few special-order extras, and there are only a few of each: Jalapeño Cheddar Loaf, Sourdough English Muffins, and Brioche Sourdough Hamburger Buns. If you'd like some, comment below or send me a message and I'll set them aside for you. I'll always reply so you know I got it, since comments sometimes get lost.

You can pre-order the rest of the menu through Hotplate, or just message me and I'll take care of it.

Fresh sourdough bread, ciabatta rolls, cookies, seeded crackers (great with soup, cheese or as a grab-and-go snack) and croutons are out on the porch.

Soaps are restocked too. Every bar is all natural and scented with essential oils, with nothing in them that's bad for your skin. You'll also find bath bombs, lotions, sugar scrubs and so much more.

And please take a baby aloe home! They need homes before it gets too cold to put them out.

I have a few little aloe plants that really need new homes this weekend before it gets too cold. They’re easy houseplants to care for and handy to have around the kitchen for minor burns!

And a quick apology about the cinnamon rolls. They decided not to cooperate this week, so unfortunately they won’t be available today. We’ll try again next weekend! Sorry to those who were looking forward to them.

Our English muffins are great for breakfast sandwiches, tuna melts, mini pizzas, or just toasted with butter! They freeze beautifully, making them perfect for quick grab-and-go meals.

Our mini loaves are a great option for smaller households or anyone who doesn’t need a full loaf.

Anything left will be heading to the freezer later today!
