I just wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU for all my messages, tons of prayers and being there for me! I had A LOT of anxiety going into another surgery within 6 weeks apart. After my aneurysm coiling in December I threw blood clot and infarcted my spleen killing it off and causing even more pain. So Wednesday the 7th I had a Splenectomy. Apparently this little guy has much importance than we give him! Lol
And YES I am one that should always read the disclaimer on the bottom of the page…. It will be me it happens to. 🤷‍♀️…. Update: I am home now recovery and not up for a run just yet! lol
I know Henry Piedmont gets a bad reputation but everyone took very good care of me!

I just wanted to do a quick update:
“I Am Alive” 🎉🎉

I am so very blessed by my Family, Friends and my Patient Family that have prayed and worried so much about me! I am greatly thankful!! 😊….
Back story:
I have been having some intense Left flank pain since race the Lady of the Lake in Sept. I (of course) diagnosed myself with a kidney stone took my X-rays (boom ✔️ ). I Finally went to Urologist and was like KS take it out in a hurry I have the Tough Turkey Race . Stat Urogram was done & nope not a stone… “Splenic Artery Aneurysm”…. But wait there is more. NO running, NO contact sports (so long rugby 🙄) & NO lifting it may rupture…… did a nice very long Turkey “walk” race . Saw a Vascular surgeon thinking I am way too young to be here. Had another CT Angiogram… now have the Splenic Aneurysm + Renal Vein Compression ( a Nutcracker Syndrome .. can’t even make this stuff up) + Ovarian Vein Compression…. Told to get a Colonoscopy & that I was going to have a major surgery! WTH!!

After some discussion we went with the least invasive quickest surgery first …… Intravenous Radiation technique stent and coil the aneurysm. Had surgery on Wednesday 20th last week emobolized the aneurysm and removed an additional splenic artery. I was told that if I had ran another marathon and increased my BP that my aneurysm would have ruptured and I would have died on the course! Hmmmm Nice to know! 😳…. Thanks again for all prayers and thoughts! I am back to work & crushing it for now! Thx again
