Something that a lot of people don't know is that dry skin causes wrinkles. Think of a rubber band thats been sitting out in the sun. If you try and stretch it, it will either stay stretched out or it will snap, but it can't return to its original form because it has lost its elasticity. Your skin also has elasticity, and it needs to be nourished and moisturized so that when it gets toyed with by daily activities, facial expressions, sleeping and just gravity in general, it can have the strength and elasticity to return to its natural form with out leaving a line or wrinkle. The skin around your eyes is what typically ages the quickest, and needs to be moisturized the most. Having tight, healthy skin around your eyes is the quickest way to looking years younger (or maintain youthful looking skin). Make sure you are using a good moisturizer that is good for your skin type (dry, oily, combination) especially after you wash your face and it feels dry. You may have to experiment with a couple to find out what works best for you. (Remember not to use too much, no one wants oily skin, it causes break outs). Also what a lot of people don't know is that overly dry skin can cause breakouts. When you dry out your skin your natural oil glands start working faster to compensate for the lost natural oils, which can actually lead to oilier skin.

I've been using an antioxidant moisturizer that i got from Sally's that has white tea.

Box Color VS. Salon Color-Ok, so most of you ladies out there know, or have heard, that you're not supposed to use box color (the kind you get at the grocery store). But you don't really know why, so i will explain the facts for you.

Color is a type of science, the "one size fits all" concept does not work, you often use different formulations, and take multiple things into consideration. Such as the underlying pigment and tones of the hair, hair texture, porosity and of course the health of the hair. Salon professionals are trained to determine what color and products you need depending on your hair's condition, and how to get you the results you want, while maintaining the integrity of your hair (making sure it doesnt break or get damaged). Two women going for the exact same hair color can have a completely different color formulation to get there. Or if you had a previous color and your roots are grown out, you may have to use different colors to get an even end result.
When doing a root retouch with box color, women often tend to color their whole head, repeatedly coating the hair shaft with color, causing more damage, higher porosity, and color fading. (which the salon professional avoids). Another thing women tend to do when applying color themselves is just glop it all ontop of their head and mush it together, a BIG mistake. This does not let the color oxidize properly, resulting in spots and uneven color.
All women have different hair, and therefore require different color formulations. A mixture that i would use on one girl who has very thick and course hair, would be extremely damaging on a different girl with thin and fine hair. Drug store brands try to make their products a "one size fits all" kinda deal, which isn't logical in the hair world.
And i know Sally's is supposed to be professional hair color..... But i can tell you that no salon uses any of those products on their clients. We have better ones ;)
Basically in a nut shell, Cosmetologists went to school and are well trained in what they do, and you cannot get the same experience or results from doing it yourself at home.

I can't tell you how many clients go into salons for color corrections from trying to do it themselves. I even did it once right before i started school. I ended up with blonde and orange spotted clown hair! haha SO embarrassing. And it ended up costing me more in the end to fix it than the original price would have been. Trust me, its worth the few extra dollars!

I hope you guys got some kind of education from this novel haha
XOXO

Don't Forget Your Ends!
Okay, so we all know dry shampoo is one of the best things invented. Its one of those things thats a necessity in your bag of hair products, because if your like me and only wash your hair 2-3 times a week, (which should be the case for most of us so we don't dry out our poor locks) it refreshes your roots and gives that extra little volume that we love so much. BUT, most of us dont give a second thought about our ends. Which get dehydrated from recurling, straightening, the sun and just everyday environmental damage. Your ends need refreshing just as much as your roots do. So try putting in either a leave in conditioner or oil or anything to keep those ends hydrated everyday, preferably something with a heat protectant. Living in the dry dead heat of AZ we especially need the extra hydration and heat protectant. And remember to keep those ends trimmed up! If you have any questions or anything dont be afraid to comment :)

I am personally a fan of rocking red lipstick, i think its very classy. most girls can wear it but there are rules to it. First off your skin needs to look FLAWLESS, (makeup only looks good if the canvas looks good!) and you need to have your eyebrows done, for some reason it throws everything off. Secondly you want to make sure that your eyes and cheeks stay fairly neutral, you dont want to look like a clown. BUT i do think eyelashes should be bold, i think red lips with bold lashes are a perfect combo :) When choosing the red, you want to go with a deep, cool tone that is more blue-based, rather than a warm tone (more orange) which will cause your teeth to look more yellow. Megan Fox knows what she's doing. You always want to wear lipliner, as red lipstick has a tendency to bleed. And lastly make sure it stays OFF YOUR TEETH!!! Whats worse than seeing a girl with lipstick on her teeth? Nothing, the answer is nothing. Enjoy those hot red lips :)

Ladies, if you are looking for something to make you hair grow faster, go with Flinstone gummies! This may sound odd but they are extremely similar to the prenatal pill, just without the hormone! The other day i was talking to a delivery nurse and she actually confirmed this fact and said that when women's bodies dont digest the prenatal very well, they specifically recommend the Flinstone gummies :)
