A dental & medical organization summoning all philanthropists to travel with purpose, as you help those in need and adventure the Dominican Republic�

We are a group of volunteers who travel to the Dominican Republic providing dental treatment to populations in dire need. Our group consists of volunteers with little to no dental experience, as well as dentists, dental students, hygienists, hygiene students, and dental assistants. During our expeditions, we strive to connect and collaborate with the wonderful people of the rural communities of the Dominican Republic, and to help provide them with services to which they would otherwise have no access. We work hand in hand with providers and community leaders in in the area, and with educators and students from the prestigious Universidad Central del Este to ensure appropriate post-operative care and sustainability for our patients. Volunteer dentists and team members find a great way to bond as an office, dental and hygiene students are afforded a tremendous amount of hands on experience, and everyone volunteering is able to make an impression on (and be impressed by) the lives of the wonderful people with whom we work. We also take the time to enjoy the sights and experiences this beautiful Carribean island nation offers, and explore some of the historic and cultural attractions of the region.

It’s a wrap!!!
For this past week, 62 souls gave their everything for the people of Las Matas de Santa Cruz. Alongside @ncboomstick23 and @adiel19 we were able to see almost 500 patients between our BIO clinic and the schools we visited. 69 dentures, 19 root canals, 563 fillings, 243 surgeries and 281 prophys. All the patients received a full medical checkup, dental education and a dental kit with the necessary tools for them to continue what we started.

Having people that contribute to our main goal which is seeing everybody live a happy and healthy life, is something we cannot thank enough for. This time we received a heart-warming collaboration from @midlanddentistry4kids , by the Gooch family and their friends. Big shout out to @cgooch.87 & @amygooch24 ! 👏👏 This family aimed to complete Hobbs Eagle Project and put together 1,000 dental packets for us to donate at Carlita Metz de Pimentel Public School in @ncboomstick23 ‘s hometown Monte Cristi Dominican Republic.

Sabía que iban a ser receptivos y que les iba a gustar, no sabía que tanto.. No se trata solo de darles un cepillo y dejarlos a la deriva para que adivinen cómo o por qué usarlo, se trata de enseñarles primero el por qué, y luego el cómo.
Por eso @ceroconflicto y yo preparamos una súper presentación con dibujitos, y junto con varios voluntarios de @brightislandoutreach les enseñamos técnica de cepillado y los beneficios de utilizar un cepillo de dientes de bambú, interactuaron, se cepillaron y colorearon.
Si, me pusieron unas alas porque se supone que para ellos soy el hada de los dientes 🧚🏼♀️ Los niños son el futuro de nuestro planeta, preocúpate por lo que les enseñas y nuestro futuro volverá a ser brillante.

#instagram has been down and the community we are working barely has a signal, but we have been working non-stop for the past 3 days in the lovely “La Otra Banda”.
Our friends @muchachosdeluz have been amazing with the set up and organization and our volunteers are barely resting.

In a world of endless possibilities, we managed to recruit @tfunk03 a dental student who's inspiration was his childhood dentist who operated him when he hit his teeth at the age of 5. Taylor was chosen at random to operate on a 2 year old with the same problem he had over 15 years ago! We are still shock when he told us his story and are amazed by his ability to change this little girl's life without breaking a sweat. We are a group of volunteers who travel to the Dominican Republic providing medical and dental treatment to populations in dire need. Our group consists of volunteers with little to no healthcare experience, as well as doctors, dentists, dental & medical students, hygienists, hygiene students, and dental assistants, etc. During our expeditions, we strive to connect and collaborate with the wonderful people of the rural communities of the Dominican Republic, and to help provide them with services to which they would otherwise have no access. We work hand in hand with providers and community leaders in in the area, and with educators and students from the prestigious Universidad Central del Este to ensure appropriate post-operative care and sustainability for our patients. Volunteer doctors and their team members find a great way to bond as an office. The medical, dental and hygiene students are afforded a tremendous amount of hands on experience and mentorship, and everyone volunteering is able to make an impression on (and be impressed by) the lives of the wonderful people with whom we work. We also take the time to enjoy the sights and experiences this beautiful Caribbean island nation offers, and explore some of the historic and cultural attractions of the region.
