Hey guys,

I'm curious as to how other survivors deal with my main issues in post treatment.

Long-term side effects have really affected my chances to work consistently. I started a website, write, blog, co-host a sports show on local TV, but need to depend on Patreon and sponsors to help support something I work very hard at.

I'm very close to my finances permanently being destroyed by being unable to pay bills and rent. I even published a book, but selling myself and getting the cancer community behind supporting me and others like me (trying their best to do what they can despite the damage of chemo and radiation) has not worked.

No doubt COVID has destroyed so much - and so many families are suffering.

I used to inspire people with my story - now I'm nothing more than alone. Very few doctors and organizations - none in fact - seem to be interested despite my pleads for how serious this is.

If I'm the only one - boy do I feel stupid - but if there are others out there how are you coping??

LACS: 9/11/01 Heroes "Lets Roll" Mentality Needed Now

Nineteen years ago today, our nation was attacked by Islamic extremists hoping to change our way our life. Looking at our society now, I challenge myself and everyone else to take a step back and think how we can make this country better.

LACS - Crohn's Destruction: Trauma, Anxiety, Fear and How to Help

My latest blog, which also was featured in Medium earlier in the week. The next few blog will deal exclusively with the battle I and other fight daily due to Crohn's disease.

Sadly, COVID-19 has crippled many middle class, minorities, and communities ability to provide for their family, Dealing with homelessness since March, I've experienced wonderful discussions with so many about their struggles.

I haven't spoken much publicly about my battle with Crohn's and how it's created an enormous amount of anxiety, fear, guilt, shame, and created
overwhelming thoughts of su***de on my worst day and wanting to bury myself in the ground on best days. Crohn's is the second leading cause of su***de among those dealing with chronic conditions.

I continue to persist and perhaps ignorantly pound on the door to provide a future for myself severely compromised by this life threatening
condition. Those who suffer from Crohn's aren't magically handed life's basic needs, never mind anything beyond scratching out a meager existence
with the addition of daily pain that rivals the worst I've experienced.

I can't minimize the vital importance of what I'm fighting for any longer. Vulnerability sucks. Not fully being in control of my success outside of producing content I hope others find enjoyable, rips me apart. I can't continue to act
like the past few years trying to find a way to support myself hasn't changed how I view my worth. It has. Some see this as complaining. I see it as doing all I can to survive despite daily dealing with multiple chronic conditions that limit everything I do.

If you know me and are reading this, I sincerely ask for your support and to share this with anyone you can think. Others very rarely respond to others promoting themselves, which is part of why I'm starting to doubt
anyone finds me valuable. I believe God gave us all a purpose to use what we can to give back to society and help others do the same. I can hate my disability and health limits all day, but I can't do anymore than is physically possible for me to do.

By sharing and supporting my efforts and production of content, you are helping my hope to find someone in position to use my talents in a financially productive way.

Writing things like this are humiliating and extremely difficult, but if I'm going to lose this battle, it won't be due to my silence.

Living with Crohn's disease is one of the hardest, most embarrassing circumstances of which to live. Shame, humiliation and feeling like a prisoner due to not being able to leave your home, presents anxiety, fear and depression beyond what ordinary people can handle. Su***de rates among those poison

Long Term Effects of Cancer Treatment

Here is the biggest - please forgive my language but we are all adults here, the BIGGEST LIE IN THE WORLD!

NO ONE CARES ABOUT SARCOMA SURVIVORS!!!! THE CANCER COMMUNITY OVERALL COULD GIVE TWO POOPS WHETHER PEOPLE LIKE ME DIED HOMELESS, DESTITUTE and WITH A BROKEN HEART. I HAVE ALL OF THESE SIDE EFFECTS - EVERY DARN ONE! (I'm trying not to curse, but I've honestly had it with these stupid websites) - the reality is that the wealthy survivors watch the lowly nobodies (like me and plenty of suffering African-American survivors, single-mothers and other minorities that get ignored) suffer and blow them off.

Even those of us who are trying to be an example and not a victim, can't win. I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE being forced to depend on others generosity because my ability to work a consistent job was taken from me. Being a divorced male, it just goes to show you how utterly worthless I am that I have all the advantages and I still fail.

CAN YOU TELL I AM A TINY BIT BITTER?!?!?!

Living As A Cancer Survivor - Persistence

What is the difference between succeeding and failing? While cancer doesn't play by the same rules that everything else does, you need to be resilient and stay in attack mode when cancer is your opponent.

Persistence matters. Getting up and brushing yourself off for another round. One more round. I didn't hear the bell.

Even though this is as obvious as the nose on my face, I wouldn't have thought of it unless someone asked me, which is the main reason why I wanted to get another survivors view of what life is like for them and how many of these things we have in common. So far, I'm 4-4 and I am so grateful for Rachael's perspective.
