Had all three of my children at this hospital and I got to say the staff was amazing all three times but I am not to sure about their billing policies back in May of 2020 during the height of the pandemic 😷 we were asked if we wanted a private room that it was gonna cost $200 cash upfront out of pocket .. so with a full blown pandemic going on I said fine just to be safe so we were discharged everything was fine up until 6 months later I get a bill in the mail for another $200 saying that I missed a payment confused we called them up and asked why were we being charged twice the lady goes into a speech about how we didn’t pay for the day of discharge which was in the morning I might add .. my question is what kind of service is this when I payed for the night I was under a lot of stress and wanted my wife to be conformable .. to come at me 6 months later and ask for more money during a pandemic which I might add was weird because if I am correct Hospitals are not doubling up deliveries in their hospitals for fear that someone might spread COVID is this is insane ... THIS IS ABUSE OF POWER UNDER Extraordinary circumstances asking for $200 more is wrong I feel like I was told about the charge for the room and was not told that I would be billed for more ...it’s wrong your hospital was wonderful but this 1 thing was just wrong ... on top of that I am an essential worker who has worked everyday since the outbreak and this kind of stuff really upsets I feel like we were taking advantage of !!!

Today, the Matthew Fetzer Foundation deliver toys for the NYU Winthrop pediatric unit.
Due to health precautions we were not allowed upstairs to the unit. We left the toys in the capable hands of the Child life specialist to hand out for us.
We hope everyone enjoys the toys and goes home very soon.

Thank you to all of the health care workers at Winthrop, particularly those in the pediatric ICU, for saving my dad’s life! A special thank you to Dr. Isaac Teboul and Dr. Ben Tack, two incredible residents who worked tirelessly day in and day out to help bring our dad home. In some very uncharted Covid waters, these two never once led him off course.
