I found owlcreekfarmresort completely by accident in an intentional community group online. I loved the photos and what Alessandra and her family were creating there, and after Alessandra and I started talking, I knew I wanted to go see if the place felt as good in person as it looked online.

So last year, for Jesse’s birthday, we packed up the kids and went to Murphy. We explored the property, the kids loved all the animals and the pirate ship playground, we made tiramisu with Alessandra, and I got to experience the land for myself. It felt even better in person.

There’s something about Owl Creek that’s hard to explain. It’s tucked into the mountains with a creek running through the property, animals, gardens, bees, a meditation deck, outdoor kitchens and little places to disappear for a while. You get there and somehow you breathe a little deeper.

My second visit was Wild Roots Rising, when 22 of us gathered there for a Satsang retreat. My third was with three girlfriends to experience Alessandra’s Quantum Healing workshop. That weekend answered some questions, left me with plenty more, and mostly made me curious.

Next week will be my fourth visit, and this time Alessandra and I will be holding the weekend together.

We’ll have four Quantum Healing gatherings, cacao, movement and breath, Deep Listening in Nature, meals around the table, fires, stars, animals, the creek, conversation, silence and plenty of room to wander and rest. The land isn’t simply the backdrop for this retreat. It’s part of the journey.

I’m really looking forward to going back and sharing this place with another little group of humans.

Professional/amateur Photographer friends, I’m looking for someone to join us at Owl Creek October 16–18.

I’m looking for a lifestyle/branding photographer with an eye for natural, candid storytelling to capture some new imagery for Satsang Project during our upcoming Quantum Healing Journey.

I’m hoping to create both beautiful memories for our participants and a collection of storytelling imagery for Satsang Project that can live well beyond this particular weekend—the hands, expressions, interactions and little details that tell the story of an experience.

This isn’t a traditional event-photography job where I need the entire weekend documented. Our participants will be encouraged to put their phones away and be fully present, so I’d love to have someone there who can quietly preserve some of those moments for them while also creating intentional imagery for Satsang Project.

I’m looking for someone who can move pretty seamlessly in and out of the experience, knowing when to pick up the camera and when to put it down, without the photography becoming a distraction from what’s happening in the circle.

Ideally, this would be someone who is genuinely interested in the Quantum Healing Journey and would enjoy experiencing the weekend themselves. There will be portions when you’re there simply as a participant, and other moments when you’ll step into the photographer role.

You do not have to be a professional photographer. I care much more about your eye, your ability to notice a moment, and the way you naturally capture people and connection. I’ll ask to see a few examples of your photography so we can make sure it feels like the right fit.

I’m open to an exchange that includes the full retreat, all meals, coffee + tea, and camping/overlanding.
