The EasyStand Glider advanced active standing technology designed to provide reciprocal movement.

Active standing is designed to facilitate lower body range of motion and upper body muscle engagement. Unlike passive standers, users move the handles with their arms (or a caregiver can assist) which creates a reciprocal movement in the legs.

โœ”๏ธ Gliding adds dynamic movement to supported standing.
โœ”๏ธ The full range seat has hinged, break-away sections for each leg that allow full leg, hip and ankle extension while standing.
โœ”๏ธ Adjustable resistance allows users to modify the level of effort during movement.
โœ”๏ธ A three-point supportive positioning system (padded knee pad, seat, and chest pad) provides support in all positions, from sitting to standing.

The RESNA Position on Assistive Technology for Lying Posture Care Management identifies LPCM as a foundational component of 24-hour PCM and advocates for inclusion of supported lying positioning as standard practice.

This one-hour course translates the RESNA position into practical clinical application. Participants will explore the relationship between lying, sitting, and standing posture; recognize potentially destructive lying postures; consider whole-body alignment, comfort, pressure distribution, and safety; and examine assistive technology options ranging from readily available materials to specialty positioning systems. Case examples from the RESNA Position Paper will demonstrate how LPCM can be incorporated into everyday routines as part of a comprehensive 24-hour approach.

Itโ€™s Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month! ๐Ÿฆด๐Ÿ’š with Asha. ๐Ÿคฉ

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿฆฝ โ€œA spinal cord injury can lead to many unknown health and bone complications such as osteoporosis and muscle atrophy. I want to make sure I stay independent and my body stays healthy for as long as possible. So I started taking better care of my body and exercising.โ€

๐Ÿงโ€โ™€๏ธโ€I stand regularly at home and build it into my daily routine with my own Evolv stranding frame from . The standing frame is super easy to get into, and I am able to transfer across independently with minimal assistance.โ€

๐Ÿ’ช โ€œIt took me a while to build up my endurance due to my low blood pressure, but now I can stand for as long as 3 hours, 2 or 3 times a week.โ€

๐Ÿ’ป โ€œOne of the best features is the large tray. I use standing as an opportunity to catch up with emails or attend online meetings. I can fit everything I need on the tray.โ€
