What a great week in New Orleans! ⚜️

Members of the ECLIPSE team attended and presented at the Division on Career Development and Transition (DCDT) International Conference, sharing research and practical strategies to support students with disabilities in higher education and employment.

Our team presented on Reverse Career Fairs, highlighting how these student-centered events provide opportunities for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to showcase their skills, interests, and work experiences while connecting with potential employers.

In another session, Dr. Jeremy Ford and Dr. Peighton Pratt joined Boise State University doctoral candidate Julia Gorman to share findings from a statewide study exploring the experiences of college students with disabilities, including disability disclosure, accommodations, accessibility, and sense of belonging.

It was a great opportunity to share our work, connect with colleagues, and continue conversations about advancing inclusive postsecondary education and competitive integrated employment!

Vandal QUEST students are starting the semester with some hands-on learning! 🌱

Students and staff recently worked with Vandal HARVEST to learn about the hydroponic greenhouse project, including the germination and transplanting process. Together, they transplanted 80 plants that will eventually provide fresh food for the Vandal Food Pantry!

Student had the opportunity to learn more about the project and explore whether working with Vandal HARVEST might be something they’re interested in this semester.

Congratulations to Vandal QUEST alumnus, Brian Barnes, on his new role with ECLIPSE as a Participant Evaluator!

Brian works alongside our Evaluation Manager to strengthen ECLIPSE’s evaluation efforts by bringing the firsthand perspective of someone who has experienced an inclusive post-secondary education program.

Brian has helped revise surveys to better reflect student experiences, develop the Peer Job Coach Feedback Survey, and lead a focus group with Student Advisory Board members from the CONNECT Conference.

His work is helping ensure that student voices remain at the center of ECLIPSE’s continuous improvement efforts.

We’re excited to have Brian on the ECLIPSE team. Congratulations, Brian!

🌟 Student Spotlight: Morgan 🌟

We're excited to spotlight Morgan from Boise State University's PEERS program!

One of Morgan's standout accomplishments this past semester was delivering an outstanding presentation in his Child Psychology course, where he co-presented alongside his professor in front of the class. More than just a class assignment, this opportunity highlighted Morgan's growth, confidence, and willingness to step outside his comfort zone.

Through the experience, he demonstrated increased confidence in public speaking, professionalism, and meaningful collaboration with faculty. These skills will continue to support his success in college and future employment!

Congratulations, Morgan! Keep up the great work!
