Have you been dizzy? Feel like the room is spinning? Are you experiencing difficulty with your balance?

The symptoms of vertigo can be debilitating and frustrating. The good news is that most cases of vertigo can be easily treated with professional evaluation and early intervention.

Deep in the inner ear we have three semi-circular canals that help your brain understand the body’s movement and position. Within those canals are microscopic calcium carbonate crystals that provide the proper information. When those crystals become dislodged and move to the wrong part of the canals, it will send misinformation to the brain. This is what leads to the feeling of the room spinning.

The good news? Proper therapeutic maneuvers can help reposition those crystals into the correct place.

Arthritis is often associated with just pain in the joints, but this pain can also affect flexibility, strength, balance, and confidence.

When a joint feels stiff or uncomfortable, a natural reaction is to avoid using it. Common compensations include shortening your stride, using one side more, or stopping certain activities altogether.

These changes may provide temporary relief, but they can also create additional problems and everyday tasks can gradually require more effort.

Here’s how we address arthritis at Resolute Physical Therapy:

⭐Manual Therapy
Improves mobility and reduces strain
⭐Strength Training
Stronger surrounding muscles can help support the joint
⭐Pacing Recovery
A common mistake when managing arthritis is to do a lot on good days leading to increased pain the next day. Proper pacing means spreading out demanding activities and taking necessary breaks leaving you feeling better more often and extreme pain less often
⭐A Plan That Fits You
A good plan only works if it fits your goals and your schedule
⭐Education
Teaching you what is causing your pain and the best methods you can practice at home to help alleviate symptoms

Arthritis may change how you approach certain activities, but it does not automatically mean giving them up. Resolute Physical Therapy focuses on helping patients achieve optimum health through personalized care and practical solutions.

Every patient’s treatment looks a little different.

The Neubie is one of the many tools we may utilize in a patient’s plan of care. For this patient, we’re incorporating the Neubie into their shoulder rehabilitation to complement hands-on, manual treatment and therapeutic exercise.

We’re constantly assessing how your body is moving, identifying what may be contributing to your symptoms, and choosing the best tools and techniques that will best help you progress. The Neubie is one piece of this patient’s care—but it’s the individualized approach behind the treatment that makes the difference.

The goal isn’t just to feel better in the clinic. The goal is to help you feel better, move better and be able to do the activities you love. Whether that means lifting, working, exercising, playing sports, or simply getting through your day with less pain, our treatments are chosen with your goals in mind.
