CMU College of Medicine Population Health Research Group

The Central Michigan University College of Medicine instituted the Population Health Research Group (PHRG) in 2015. The mission of the PHRG is to conduct meaningful public health research while providing educational opportunities for communities across Michigan. The PHRG program research seeks to uncover disparities in access to medical care and knowledge, and to address those disparities where they may exist by providing effective and personal educational interactions between medical student researchers and the public. In partnership with the College of Medicine, the PHRG program works to improve access to high quality preventative medical care and information to all Michigan residents.

Mission: The Population Health Research Group seeks to design epidemiological projects that contribute to the research efforts of the CMU College of Medicine, while providing a service to the community in the form of preventative medical education.
