⭐️For nearly a century, Nevada Regional Medical Center has been a vital part of life in Vernon County, providing emergency care, delivering babies, treating injuries, and caring for families close to home.

Soon, our community has an important decision to make about the future of local healthcare.

🗳On April 7, 2026, Vernon County voters will decide whether to create the Vernon County Hospital District, a new public entity that would own and operate Nevada Regional Medical Center and its clinics.

The Question:
Who will manage the Vernon County District Hospital?

The Dose:
◾ The Elected Hospital District Board will determine how they wish to manage
the hospital.
◾ Outsourced management has not proven to be effective.
◾ Direct, local management has made a clear difference.
◾ Management Companies cost lots of money and provide no proven
advancements in performance.

The Question:
Will it be managed solely by the county commissioners?

The Dose:
◾ Neither the County Commissioners nor the City Council will be involved or responsible. A hospital district is a separate, independent entity.
◽The Hospital District Board will be responsible.
◽The will be a transition phase where the existing board will assist the newly
elected board until they are fully functional.
