Thank you for everyone who attended yesterday’s Advocacy Education Day! It was great to learn about nursing and organizational advocacy, as well as hearing inspiring stories on patients journeys with advocacy. As nurses we need to advocate for our patients and to better our healthcare system. This would not have been possible without the help of Cathy Finlayson, the planning committee, and Pace University. Also a MAJOR thank you to those who took the time to present today, Dr. Marilyn Dollinger, Alec Stone, Rachel Lerner, Dr. Mark Blazey, Matthew Allen, Erin Zammett Ruddy,Dr. Lauren Ghazal, Senator Roxanne J. Persaud, and Assemblywoman Karines Reyes. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us… And remember, if you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu! Lauren Ghazal Valarie Lucas
