As a health influencer, Let me teach you how how to cite studies.
If there is a study that cites a study of something that studies a study that your interest is interested in studying then cite that study. If it’s a small sample size I want you to ignore that and cite, because nothing is more important than a citing that gathers evidence for your micro interest and justifies it to your fellows and makes you feel warm and fuzzy about the way you’ve found to be right and make others wrong. Ignore yours and studier’s bias.
If you’re an institutionalised mind that loves studies of the masses prey on the vulnerability of the citer and cite large studies that contradict the micro and DOMINATE them with your bravado; backed by the institutional mite you’re enthralled with.
Now, both approaches ignore infinite variables and lock onto what makes you right. Ignore all the complexity that scientism can’t explain and cite the study that studies your study and post the facts you’ve determined are facts and feel good being right and superior.
Now, if your a meek person, cite to yourself and your circle to avoid engaging in the mysterious marvelous space between factual citings, so you can cite to friends that you’re right and intellectually dominate. Smirk whilst executing. Cry yourself to sleep.
Now contemplate the reality of reality and consciousness and realise you’re not in control. There’s guidance within all this, but accept you’re neither in control nor right. Your extreme take has cited someone out of recognition, your factual citation reveals contempt for some in favour of others, and your well-intended citing invites study of why you feel able to smash the “ignorant” minority or masses that cite against your citings.
Your parameters and variables have shunned others when your lick-your-lips-about-being-unequivocally-correct bulls**ttery tells your inner monologue that your study and citing gives you god-like ability to wash away the opinions of institutional “shills” or “dangerous” individuals spouting “bad science,” who are citing against your lived and edumacated experience, and are therefore WRONG.
A recent study says that this is what you’re all doing.
