Back in 2001, I was a counter girl at one of the top makeup companies in the beauty industry. My skin was full of acne but my face was beat! A close friend at the time suggested that I should incorporate natural beauty products into my already vegan/holistic lifestyle. As I searched high and low for a natural makeup company, one or two things happened: the darkest shade was cream and/or there was an ingredient that irritated my skin. Moreover, there weren't any social media "makeup guru's" at the time to point me to the right products and to be completely honest, I had no intentions of starting a holistic beauty line, it happened out of necessity.
At 22 years old, I created a business from the ground up, owned a boutique loft in Manhattan, and manufactured my own natural makeup products from scratch but what I didn't do at that age was practice self-care. I got burned out pretty quickly. I simply did not put the oxygen mask on myself before helping others...
Before this becomes an auto-biography, I just want you all to know that I'm back and I appreciate the private and public inquiries. The long hiatus wasn't intentional but it was very much needed. Between running a business and managing life's high's and low's...I had to reset and renew. So much has manifested during this time and now I can offer you the best of me!
