Mazorca Colectiva

We’re meeting again this October 24th!

We look forward to welcoming you to our women’s and men’s circles. Although they take place at the same time, each circle will be held separately.

Since the Queens Botanical Garden is quite large, our meeting point will be at the main entrance on Main Street.

📞 If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at the phone numbers listed on the flyer.

¡Bienvenido, octubre!

Mazorca 🌽

Welcome, October! 🍂✨ The little leaves are already dressing in gold, and our hearts are full as we gather once again to keep co-creating and weaving this beautiful autumn energy.

With so much love, we're sharing this month’s calendar with you. Since the weather has been quite unpredictable lately due to climate change, our garden circles might need to shift locations. We recommend keeping an eye on our IG posts and stories, where we'll share any updates ahead of time.

Warmly,
Mazorca 🌽

If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to build and sustain community green spaces, this conversation is for you!

I’m excited to be a panelist for Mapping Queens: Innovators in Green Spaces at Queens Botanical Garden, a conversation exploring how community leaders across Queens are creating, protecting, and sustaining green spaces as places for connection, creativity, and community.

I’ll be joined by:
🌻 Clarisa James — DIVAS For Social Justice
🌊 Jackie Rogers — The Garden By The Bay
🌱 Jaclyn Soto — South Jamaica Infinity Garden
🌽 Nicolás Linares — 🌽 Mazorca Colectiva 🌽

Together, we’ll share what inspires our work, what it takes to build and sustain community green spaces, and our visions for a greener, more connected Queens.

🎙️Moderated by Natalie Bedon, Project Manager of the Queens Cultural Mapping Initiative with audience Q&A + mixer to follow!
