So nice we're doing it twice!
We are excited to offer a second round this year of Love & Learn, our annual dating and relationship workshop. đź’•

This is for you if you’ve ever thought…
“Why do I keep ending up in the same dating patterns?”
“Do I actually want this, or do I just think I’m supposed to?”
“Am I being too picky… or ignoring what I know?”
“How do I know when someone is actually right for me?”

Whether you're actively dating, taking time before your jump back into the dating pool, or just want to learn more about what you bring to relationships, this is a space for you. Join us to gain clarity on what you want, identify the patterns you bring to dating and relationship, and create a personalized roadmap to prepare whatever comes next.

We hear this all the time in our couples therapy sessions: I shouldn't have to ask. My partner should just know.

This belief is often masking the reality that asking for what we need is vulnerable. However, vocalizing what we need can make a world of difference in our relationships.

Try this reframe: Asking allows me to vocalize my needs and it can be meaningful when my partner makes efforts to fulfill my needs.

Head to the blog to read Marriage Myths vs. Reality and explore a few more assumptions to shed before you walk down the aisle. đź’Ť

At this point in the year, it's easy to be hard on ourselves. We feel like time is flying by and we still haven't accomplished all of those goals we set back in January.

We might get caught in if-then thinking. "If I do this, then I'll be happy."

But the things is, if we're always looking backwards and forwards, we miss all that is happening in the present moment.

Happiness is a fleeting experience we get to have again and again in life, and the only way to enjoy a fleeting experience is to be present. So pause, and enjoy. You deserve it. ⏸️🌀💙

There’s a reason I paired this trend with vintage wedding portraits.

Wedding photography has evolved.

We’ve traded stiff poses and perfect smiles for candid moments, real emotion, movement, personality, and the beautifully imperfect moments that actually tell the story of a relationship.

So why shouldn’t our relationship skills evolve, too?

Many of us inherited the idea that being a “good” partner means keeping the peace, avoiding conflict, making everyone happy, and smiling through discomfort.

But healthy relationships ask something different of us.

✨ Have the awkward conversation.
✨ Let someone be disappointed sometimes.
✨ Talk about money before it becomes a source of conflict.
✨ Be teammates.
✨ Ask for support before you’re in crisis.

Maybe it’s time our conversations, our boundaries, and our emotional maturity caught up with our wedding photography.

Because the wedding lasts a day.

It’s a lifelong love is what we’re really ✨dressing up ✨ for.

Which one challenged you the most? đź‘€ Which one would you add?

📣 NEW BLOG ALERT 📣

This month AisleTalk, we're talking about dreaming together, expectations for the future, and all things related to marriage myths! As soon as we begin to define our commitment, we start to carry expectations for our relationship -- whether we're aware of it or not. These expectations can range from wondering whether you could live together one day, what holidays are going to look like, and/or who does what in the home. Expectations seep into our everyday life.

In our blog, we talk about how these expectations can become unknowingly harmful. Our relationship experts are debunking the top five marriage myths, so that you can still dream and build together... with a different set of intentions. Use the link in our bio to read the full piece!

Have you noticed yourself shutting down during conflict, needing to distract yourself or walk away to catch your breath? You may have assumed the role of the withdrawer when it comes to resolving conflict, often needing extra time and space to process or worried you'll get it wrong if you respond right away.

At AisleTalk, we believe you care and love deeply, even when you need a minute. In our couples therapy sessions, we create a safe space for you and your partner (or partners) to examine recurring patterns or underlying thoughts. We can help deepen emotional and physical intimacy, ensure you’re more aligned with expectations, and discuss ways to repair after conflict.

The goal is to learn how to understand the other person’s communication style, perspectives, and strengthen your ability to resolve conflicts as a team.

If you're interested in finding your way back together, we're here to help. Free consultations available at the link in bio đź©·

Here's a reflection for the week ahead 🌻

A plant needs nutrients to produce the beautiful flowers we love. But the way it receives nourishment is not so pretty: decay, digestion, and processes that can only happen in darkness make the soil rich with life-gving material. Similarly, it's the hard moments, the trials, the losses, that generate the material for our growth.

We don't choose when we go through the hard times, but we can choose what we let grow in the aftermath.

If this is hitting close to home, we see you. Know that you're not alone đź’›

I’ve spent years sitting with couples, individuals, and families during one of the biggest transitions of their lives.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:

Wedding planning has a way of revealing what everyday life can hide.

The conversations that feel impossible.
The boundaries that have been overdue.
The people-pleasing that suddenly isn’t sustainable.
The relationship patterns that have quietly been there all along.

That’s why these are a few of the hills I’ll happily die on.

Not because I think everyone has to agree with me—but because I’ve watched these truths help people move through wedding planning with less resentment, more self-trust, and stronger relationships on the other side.

Which one surprised you the most? Tell me one “hill you’ll die on” about weddings or relationships 👀

Has it ever felt like only you care about your relationship? You may have assumed the role of the pursuer when it comes to resolving conflict, often wanting to talk through conflicts right away or maybe, not always understanding why space is important.

At AisleTalk we believe you're not too much. In our couples therapy sessions, we create a safe space for you and your partner (or partners) to get honest with the professional guidance of a neutral third party. It's not about picking sides, finding out who’s “right,” or the space for “I’m perfect, fix my partner!”

The goal is to learn how to understand the other person’s communication style, perspectives, and strengthen your ability to resolve conflicts as a team.
