I'd love to see you there! We'll have gentle slow flow, with plenty of variations and modifications offered... a 'pick your own path' practice if you will ☺️
Donation based, no registration required, just come as you are!

🌈📣🧘‍♀️ This coming Sunday, September 13 join Karen for Springfield Yoga in the Park at Phelps Grove Park (behind the tennis courts) in Springfield, MO. Class is 6:00-7:00 pm and donation based! 🌳

Karen Ragsdale Branson (E-RYT 200, RYT 500) has been practicing yoga since 2014, and leading classes in and around the Springfield area since 2019.

In each class she leads, she hopes to help students to feel welcome, safe, and able to show up exactly as they are, without judgement or ego. She brings a playful, authentic, and light-hearted energy to all her classes.

Sunday's practice will be a slow, gentle flow with variations given for the poses, allowing us the freedom to pick and choose what feels best for ourselves at that moment. You are more than welcome to bring any props you wish to support your practice.

Would ya look at that, I have EVENTS this month!
Starting out with this Saturday, where I will be subbing Pints & Poses for And Now, Yoga at Wire Road. This is always such a vibe and their beers(/mimosas/coffees/etc) are all delicious as well!

Just a few days away, and a few spaces remain!
I was ruminating on my Yin class last night while cleaning the studio, and I realized just how quiet my own mind was, a fairly rare thing... If someone had told yogi me from 2017 that, some day, teaching Yin yoga would become one of her favorite things, she probably would've made a face at you haha.
Total stillness in yoga? We hadn't quite made it there yet (meditation can still be challenging for me sometimes 😅).
But on that note, I would be delighted to share a little bit of my peace with you Saturday evening. You deserve to rest 💜

Haaaappy happy Friday, my friends!
We are just under 3 weeks away from Blooms & Bonfires 🌕🌱🔥🌷🤩 and there are only 2 spaces remaining! As a bonus, if you travel with a friend, you each get $50 off!
Craft supplies are being gathered, decorations are being collected, outfits are being planned, and the menu is coming together. This is not a yoga retreat; this is an opportunity to step away from real life and slow down, to celebrate springtime in all its glory, to release your childlike creativity and whimsy without judgement, and to eat healthy, delicious foods (that you don't have to cook 😘 thanks Shelby) all weekend, aaaall while being surrounded by a loving group of women looking for the same space and permission to just be themselves. If you've been waiting for a gentle nudge to take the leap, let this be your sign. 🫶🏻
Registration will close at midnight on April 24th. Split payments are still available. For solo travelers: if no one else takes the remaining spot, you get the whole room at no extra cost.

“Is yoga a religion?” 😬

This question comes up often - especially here in the Bible Belt of the Midwest. And, as someone who’s struggled to find her place in both religion AND spirituality, I really get it. 💜

If you’ve ever felt unsure or even a little conflicted about trying yoga because of your faith, you’re not alone. Pinky swear. 🤙

So let’s examine:

Moving your body, focusing your breath, and sitting in stillness is not the same thing as practicing a religion.

Yes, yoga has roots in Hinduism. 🙏
That’s part of its history.

But YOUR intention matters. You can step on your mat and pray. Reflect. Breathe. Be present with God in a quiet, intentional way - and, just like I learned in Alanon years ago, God is one of your own understanding. 🙌

Or you can leave God out of it and simply take care of your body and mind. 🤗

Yoga can actually support your life and your faith with practices that help you feel more grounded, clear, connected to something greater than yourself. ✨

You don’t have to choose between your beliefs and your wellbeing. You get to be and bring your whole self to the mat. 🥰

If you’ve been curious, give yourself permission to explore yoga with an open mind and decide what it means for you.

And I’d love to answer any questions you have that help you feel confident in your practice and your spirituality. You’re not alone - none of us are! 🫶

Its the first day of spring, and it felt like summertime 😍🌱☀️🎉 what a way to start it off!
As we head towards April I'll be making a few final calls for the last remaining spaces at Blooms & Bonfires! We've got just 3 spaces left; 1 single camping space, and the shared (*or single substitute) king suite.
I am sooo incredibly excited for this retreat, I've literally started packing already (don't look in our guest bedroom!), and we've got an amazing group already! If you're looking for a weekend away with a welcoming, friendly, loving group of women... here's your sign!
