Flat faced breeds may look super cute, but did you know that they can overheat due to their intrinsically ineffective cooling mechanism? Flat faced breeds tend to generate more heat by gasping to breath. So they need extra monitoring and awareness by owners. But with any breed make sure to take into account what the hot summer days can do to your pet. Plan your day accordingly and try to keep your pets out of the heat and in a cool setting.

Now time to return to our scheduled programming of puppy snuggles! 🐶🐱🌞

It's Kitten Season! Meet these cuties that came to visit us! Kathy one of our Veterinary Technicians cuddled them for almost the entire visit to keep them warm. I mean how could you not?

PSA: Reminder kittens need to stay with their moms until they are at least 6-8 weeks old before becoming a house hold pet. If you find any kittens outside that are small, make sure to monitor for moms presence before taking them from the location they were found.

We at Peachtree Corners Animal Clinic have always taken hygiene and health risks seriously. We want to assure our community that our doctors and staff are well trained to manage outbreaks of viruses and infectious diseases. We have standard operating protocols for cleaning year-round. We disinfect the facility constantly throughout the day as part of our normal daily routine.
Given the current situation regarding COVID-19 we feel it would be helpful to offer options that best suit individual client needs. We are committed to continuing to provide the highest quality veterinary care while also protecting you, your family and our staff.
We will remain operating under normal business hours for boarding, grooming, diagnostic services, surgical services and wellness exams. We are taking extra precautions to prevent exposure to the virus. Please note protocols can change as new information becomes available but we are committed to remaining open.
•Option 1: Scheduled Appointment and drop off: Call ahead to schedule an appointment to drop off your pet. Once in the parking lot call the hospital to let us know you have arrived. A team member will come to your car, get a history and reason for the visit then es**rt your pet into the hospital. After our doctors have examined your pet, they will call you to discuss finding/recommendations. When you arrive to pick up your pet, call us and a team member will get payment and es**rt your pet back to your car.
•Option 2: Curbside-Scheduled Appointment and wait in your car: Call and make your appointment. Upon arrival, remain in your car and call the hospital to let us know you have arrived. A team member will come to your car to check you in, then es**rt your pet into the hospital. Once inside, your veterinarian will do a complete physical exam then call you with his/her findings and recommendations. At the conclusion of your visit we will es**rt your pet to your car and process a payment over the phone.
•Option 3: Telemedicine: If you are exhibiting any symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing please refrain from coming to the facility and have a family member or friend bring your pet in. In the event you cannot get someone else to help you please contact the hospital and proper arrangements for care will be made on a case by case scenario with the option for Telemedicine.
•Emergency or Critical Appointments: If your pet is critical or in the event of an emergency please head into our office. Clients will be provided personal protection equipment and be es**rted directly into a clean, disinfected room where a team member will triage their pet. Doctors will perform an exam and give recommendations/findings. All communication will be within the CDCs recommended 6 feet distancing rule.

Currently infectious experts, as well as the CDC, OIE, and WHO indicate there is no evidence to suggest that pet dogs or cats can be a source of the infection including spreading COVID-19 to people. Because animals can spread other diseases to people and people can also spread disease to animals it is always a good idea to wash your hands before and after interacting with animals.
It is important to emphasize that we are available to help answer any questions you may have. This is a rapidly evolving situation and information is updated as it becomes available. Please don’t hesitate to contact us!

Adopters & Fosters Needed!

Jingle Paws was rescued from a rural shelter the day before Christmas. At only five months old, he was so happy to spend his first Christmas in a warm foster home. His transporter was in love the moment he got in the car and said that he loved having his belly rubbed, is so soft and purrs non-stop.

Jingle paws gets along well with the other cats and the dogs in his foster home. Submit a no obligation application today for him or any of our adoptable cats and kittens at www.angelsrescue.org. We can't wait to set up a meet and greet so you can fall in love with this precious kitten.

Have you considered updating your website? You still have Dr. Jackson as a vet and unfortunately she is not there. Since the website is a source for information, it seems keeping it updated is important...just a thought.
Not sure if you remember Mr.Pickles. He came into our lives around 2012 when we happen to bring my moms dog (who we were watching)into the clinic. We moved awhile ago and are in lawrenceville...we love him so much! He’s our little Pickles.
Peachtree Corners has been a wonderful part of our family for many years. We greatly appreciate the wonderful care provided to our girls: Alex, Molly, and Lucy!
I had to put down a cat today, and you guys were kind and compassionate, and I really appreciate it. Thank you.
Words cannot express how precious the staff of Peachtree Corners Animal Clinic is to me and my husband. They have always treated us like family, loved my animals and fought hard with us when our dog Loki was diagnosed with lymphoma. We've had to put two of our fur-babies to sleep in the last 3 months and when it was time they were wonderful and so supportive. I received these beautiful flowers yesterday from the staff and cried again. We are so blessed to have such a caring, wonderful, talented staff to help care for our furry children. ❤❤❤
