At SOMA, we believe healing happens through experiences of safety, care, and connection, both in therapy and in community.
When working with relational trauma, our therapists help create “reparative experiences.” These are new experiences that gently challenge painful beliefs learned through past relationships, offering opportunities to feel heard, supported, and valued.
Over time, these experiences can support:
• Relief from symptoms
• Kinder, more positive beliefs about ourselves
• A stronger sense of identity
• Healthier relationships with others
And these moments can happen outside the therapy room, too!
That’s why communal healing is part of what we do at SOMA. Alongside psychotherapy, our Co-Labs offer opportunities to practice new skills, connect with others, and bring what we’re learning into everyday life.
We create these spaces because having a place to practice, and people to connect with, matters. 💚
As we say around here, “Healing doesn’t just happen on the couch, it happens in community!”
