🌱🪴💚 LET THEM GROW INTO WHO THEY ARE! 💚🪴🌱
🌿✨ At 15, most people probably aren't expecting a teenager to spend his free time growing plants, learning their names, trading with other plant lovers, and getting ridiculously excited when his plants have babies. 🥰👶🌱
But here we are, taking a tour of Vinny's room and his growing collection! 🪴🔎🌿
And honestly? I LOVE seeing him find something that's genuinely his. 💚
I mean, he could be collecting cats. 🫣 🐈🐈🐈 Or he could be trying to convince me to get a pet raccoon. 🦝🤔 OR he could have picked a hobby that involves me funding a $900 gaming setup. 😩🎮💸
Instead, we're discussing plant propagation in his bedroom. 🌱😂 Honestly, I'm calling that a parenting win.🏆
But seriously, as parents, it's easy to focus on grades 📚, chores 🧹, screen time 📱, and everything our kids are supposed to be doing.
Sometimes, one of the best things we can do is pay attention to what lights them up. ✨💚
It doesn't have to be the sport everyone plays 🏀, the hobby their friends enjoy 🎸, or the interest we expected them to develop. It might be plants 🌿, music 🎶, building things 🔧, animals 🐾, art 🎨, or something we've never even considered.
🌱 When kids find something they genuinely care about, they have an opportunity to build confidence 💪, develop patience ⏳, learn new skills 🧠, and discover possibilities they might never have considered otherwise.
And who knows where that passion might lead? 🚀 A lifelong hobby, a career 🌿👩🌾, a community of people who share their interests 🤝, or simply something that makes their world a little brighter. ☀️💚
So today, I'm celebrating Vinny and his plants! 🪴💚 No pressure to be on camera 🎥, no big production 🎬. Just sharing a little piece of what makes him, him.
Because our job isn't to decide who our kids should become. It's to help them discover who they want to be. 💚🌱✨
And if that turns into a room full of plants? Well, at least they're not asking me to buy them a horse. 🐴💸😏
🪴🌿 YOUR TURN! 🌿🪴
