HOW TO BE A DURABLE PERSON | Sukooni-Mentally Strong Muslims Workshop for Muslim Tweens & Teens

We’ve all heard the phrase “the teacup generation” — the idea that our young people are becoming less equipped to handle life’s challenges. But instead of labeling the next generation, what if we focused on teaching them how to navigate adversity with resilience, confidence, and faith? 🤍

Our tweens and teens are growing up in a world filled with social pressure, comparison, rejection, and expectations. They need more than reminders to “be strong.” They need practical tools to manage difficult emotions, bounce back from setbacks, and keep going when life doesn’t go their way.

✨ Join us for How to Be a Durable Person, an online workshop designed to help Muslim youth build emotional resilience and inner strength.

🌿 What they’ll learn:
• How to handle disappointment and rejection
• How to navigate judgment and criticism without losing confidence
• How to manage difficult emotions without becoming overwhelmed
• How to persevere through life’s challenges

📅 Sunday, November 1, 2026
🕓 4:00 PM EST
💻 Online
👥 Muslim boys and girls, ages 10–16

🎙️ Led by Anisa Diab, M.S. in Community Counseling, National Certified Counselor

This workshop is part of Mentally Strong Muslims, now rebranded under Sukooni — a faith-centered mental wellness movement dedicated to nurturing emotional well-being, spiritual growth, and meaningful connection.

Our goal isn’t to raise children who never struggle. It’s to help raise young people who know how to face struggles, learn from them, and move forward with courage and trust in Allah (swt). 🤍

✨ Let’s raise a generation that is not only spiritually grounded, but emotionally equipped for life.

I’m so excited to finally introduce you to something I’ve been building behind the scenes.

Sukooni

Sukooni was born from my years of work in mental health, my love for our Muslim community, and a desire to create experiences that invite us to slow down, reflect, reconnect with our faith, and care for our inner worlds.

It’s not just one initiative.

It’s a growing movement encompassing experiences, workshops, educational programming, wellness products, retreats, and much more.

Best of all, Sukooni belongs to all of us. Your story. Your journey. Your voice. Together, we’re building something—and we’re just getting started.

Welcome to Sukooni. 🧠🤍

🌻*Layla and the Sunflower Light* 🌻

This episode is near and dear to my heart in honor of my mother Tammy Gharbi (Al Fatiha) and based on the true story of my journey with my daughter navigating illness and dealing with loss.

I hope you will listen and share the lessons learned with your children!

Repost This episode is especially for the kids that have lost a loved one
or has a loved one who is sick and won't get better.

"Layla and the Sunflower Light" is a story about loss, friendship, memories, and learning how to keep turning toward Allah's light even when life feels heavy

One of the most emotional episodes we've ever released, based on the true story of our dear friend and recurring guest therapist on the podcast, .diab.

The story is narrated by her daughter, who lost her maternal grandmother.
