I do, sweet buddy. And I never want to forget your excitement and wonder at this age. We squeezed so much goodness out of this year’s Halloween season — fitting, as it’s our family’s favorite holiday. 🎃

And today (the day after Halloween), I’m continuing to enjoy our decorations (and some candy, of course! 😉) as I also try to forever capture the joy of the season in this particular chapter of life in my heart.

FYI, ages 9 and 6 are perfection for a Disney cruise. 🚢 👌

We had such a magical time at sea (and experiencing a couple of islands in the Bahamas) this past week. From the kids being chosen to help the cruise set sail to trick-or-treating 🍬 on the boat to pirate night 🏴‍☠️ (my personal fave!) to meeting characters to the incredible live shows and so much more, it was certainly a trip to remember. (The kids would also want me to throw in room service, the cool beds, and the kids’ club!)

The absolute highlight for me was us all having a week being fully TOGETHER — having fun, enjoying each other’s company, and experiencing new things side by side. Now THAT’S what I call truly magical. ✨

P.S. Huge thanks to my cousin Kayra Alt for helping us plan it all and take away any stress by making sure we knew just what to expect. ❤️

Lucky me — I got to tag along on a work trip with Kevin to Mexico this past week. We learned all about the tequila-making process (so fascinating, AND tequila’s my fave!!) and also choose a reposado barrel for their company to gift with a custom label during the holidays.

It was a quick trip, but one I’m so glad I got to be part of. (This was such a beautiful part of the country, too!)

Our family’s Labor Day tradition of visiting our amazing friends Jim and Sandy at their Michigan City, Indiana, lake house has been going strong for 25+ years, and it’s always one of the most special parts of our summer.

This year was no exception. We had the best weather and enjoyed lake time, visited our fave ice cream spot, celebrated two birthdays, ate donuts for breakfast two days in a row, Maggie got to be driven around in her dream car (a mini van 😉) the whole trip, watched a performance put on by the cousin crew, and, most of all, we treasured the time together.

I got to spend Mother’s Day yesterday with the amazing children who made me a mama AND with a fellow mama — my wonderful mother-in-law, . The gifts and beautiful cards made yesterday feel extra special, but I’m so thankful to feel loved and appreciated all year long.

I’m grateful every day for the honor of being these kids’ mama. It’s the biggest privilege of my whole life.
