Tomorrow!! When you’re coming to conferences, thank a teacher for pouring into your child by bringing donations to our coffee and water bars! A box of water packets or some k cups would be wonderful! Our stock has been depleted!! Our committee is solely funded by donations, so we need your help! I’m sure they would appreciate a coffee from The Lumberyard Coffee Co!!

Thank you to OT Nutrition for helping us caffeinate our staff for our staff wellness bar! We appreciate your support!💜💛

Today our Sunshine Committee surprised our staff with a wellness bar for World Mental Health Awareness Day! ☀️It’s so important to give back to the people that pour their heart and soul into the children that walk the halls of OKES. Teachers don’t get to say hey, I’m having a bad day, I can’t come in. Hey, this is too much for me, I can’t handle this. They have to put on a brave face and show up because the lesson must go on.

Sometimes we forget that teachers have a home life or things going on outside of the classroom. They are labeled as teachers, so people think that is their only identity. We want them to know they are needed, they are appreciated, and they are supported. So on this day, we wanted to show teachers that the things they do for the students of our school do not go unnoticed. We hope the things we included gave them a little boost in their spirits to help get them to a much needed weekend break.
