Growing isn’t a constant state of control or regulation, but being able to dance through the changes. 🪩
This week in our 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training, we explored - Trauma-informed yoga teaching and adaptable yoga with Julianna • Rooted Movement ,
- Became yin certified with Laurie J. Jacoby-Egrie,
- Dove into sound healing and restorative yoga with a whole lot of props with Deanna,
- And discussed the business of yoga and ethics with Rachael O'Brien | Yoga | Adventure | Wellness.
We shared beautiful conversations, expanded our knowledge, and continued to learn from one another both on and off the mat. 🤍
With our studio displacement, the end of this training has looked a little different than we originally imagined. We’ve missed our original space and some of our OG planned teachers, navigated changing locations and instructors, and learned to embrace the unexpected along the way. Many of those who were not with us this weekend, were there within our hearts.🫶🏼
But life keeps happening, plans keep changing, and we keep rolling with it. 🌀
I’m SO proud of this group for their flexibility, resilience, and commitment to seeing this journey through. They continue to show up for themselves, for their education, and for one another, even when things don’t go according to plan.
We’re reminded that yoga isn’t just what happens in a studio or on a mat. It’s how we meet change, how we adapt, how we support one another, and how we keep showing up when the path looks different than we expected. And then when so many changes happen that it’s hard to handle them all, just cover yourself in a whole lot of weighted, sandbags and blankets! 😂
So grateful for the spaces that have welcomed us, the teachers who have stepped in, and the people who continue to make this community what it is.
The journey may look different, but the learning continues. And sometimes, those unexpected turns become the most meaningful parts of the story. We don’t always get what we expected! But we always get just what we need . 🌀🙏🏼✨
