Did you know we offer IPL therapy at Basin Eye Surgery? 👁️
For some patients, dry eye isn't simply about needing more artificial tears. Problems with the oil-producing glands along the eyelids can contribute to ongoing irritation, burning, redness, and fluctuating vision, and styes/chalazions.
IPL, or Intense Pulsed Light therapy, is one of the treatments we can use as part of a personalized approach to certain types of dry eye.
If you've been treating your symptoms over and over without getting the relief you're looking for, it may be time to take a closer look at what's causing them.
Come see us at Basin Eye Surgery and let's talk about whether IPL could be an option for your eyes.

If you’ve been reaching for eye drops over and over, but your dry eye symptoms keep coming back, there may be more going on. 👁️
For some patients, dry eye is connected to inflammation and problems with the oil glands along the eyelids. That’s where IPL therapy can come in.
IPL, or Intense Pulsed Light therapy, is a treatment we offer at Basin Eye Surgery as part of our approach to treating certain types of dry eye helping us address contributing factors instead of only managing the symptoms.
Burning. Irritation. Watery eyes. Fluctuating vision. If these sound familiar, let’s take a closer look at what may be causing them.
Schedule an appointment with Basin Eye Surgery to learn if IPL therapy could be right for you.

Ever wondered what’s happening during an IPL treatment? 👀
Those flashes of light you’re seeing are controlled pulses of intense pulsed light being delivered to targeted areas around the eyes.
The light energy is absorbed by abnormal superficial blood vessels that can contribute to inflammation around the eyelids. Reducing that inflammatory burden can help create a healthier environment for the meibomian glands—the glands responsible for producing the oily layer of your tears.
That oil is important because it helps keep your tears from evaporating too quickly.
IPL may be recommended as part of a treatment plan for patients with certain types of dry eye and meibomian gland dysfunction.
This is what treating dry eye can look like at Basin Eye Surgery. 👁️

Yesterday was one of my favorite kinds of days. 🤍
A full day of LASIK and PRK, helping patients take a step toward clearer vision and less dependence on glasses and contacts.
There’s something really special about getting to walk someone through this process

From the nerves and questions beforehand to seeing that excitement when it’s all done.
Every patient is different. Every set of eyes is different. And getting to be a small part of these moments never gets old.

Days like yesterday remind me how incredibly blessed I am to do what I love. I’m grateful to God for the gifts He’s given me, for the team I get to work alongside, and for every patient He puts in my path.

A successful surgery day, some very happy patients, and another reminder of exactly why I love what I get to do.

Here’s a little look behind the scenes. 💗

That stubborn bump on your eyelid may be more than a typical stye.
A chalazion can develop when an oil gland in the eyelid becomes blocked. Some improve with conservative treatment, but when one persists, additional treatment(including an in-office procedure)may be considered.
In this case, Dr. Farber performed a chalazion excision to treat the affected area.
Every eyelid bump is different, so an evaluation is important before deciding on treatment.
Have an eyelid bump that just won’t seem to go away? Contact Basin Eye Surgery to schedule an evaluation.

Confidence doesn’t always come before the decision. Sometimes, it comes during the experience.
It comes from knowing what to expect, having people beside you, and realizing you’re more comfortable than you thought you’d be.

informed, supported, and cared for every step of the way.

Clear vision can change more than what you see, it can change how often you have to think about seeing.
For many LASIK patients, that means less dependence on glasses or contacts during the moments that make up everyday life. Waking up, working out, traveling, spending time with family. It can simply mean one less thing to worry about.
Every patient's eyes, goals, and results are different, which is why your LASIK journey starts with a personalized evaluation.
