A mother never stops holding her children close—even when one can no longer be held in her arms.

Each bloom in this black and grey floral wrap represents one of her children. Tucked along her inner forearm, her son’s name is written in delicate rope—a quiet place for a love that didn’t end when his life did.

Every child remembered. Every child loved. Always hers. 🤍

🗝️✨ Welcome to the Other World! 🖤

I had SO much fun bringing this custom Coraline tattoo to life! From the colorful circus details to the little hidden nods to the movie, this piece was an absolute blast to create! 🪡🐈‍⬛

Can you cover this tattoo?”

It’s one of the most common questions I get—and the answer is usually: maybe! 👀

When I’m deciding whether a tattoo is a good candidate for a coverup, there are a few things I look at:

How old and how dark is the existing tattoo?
Older, more faded tattoos are generally easier to work with than newer, heavily saturated pieces.

How big is it?
The larger the original tattoo, the more carefully we need to plan the new design—and yes, that usually means the coverup will need to be larger than what’s underneath.

What do you want to cover it with?
This is a BIG one. Unfortunately, not every idea will work as a coverup. The new design needs the right shapes, values, colors, textures, and placement to successfully disguise what’s underneath.

And finally…

How open are you to trusting the process?

Coverups require creativity, flexibility, and sometimes a little compromise. You may come in wanting one specific idea, but I might need to change the size, composition, placement, colors, or add additional elements to make it actually work.

And when I tell you your coverup needs to be bigger, I promise I'm not just trying to make your tattoo more expensive. 😂 Bigger designs give me more room to redirect the eye, incorporate the existing tattoo into the composition, and create something that looks intentional—not like we simply slapped another tattoo on top of the old one.

Coverups also take time and patience. Many aren't going to be a quick, single-session tattoo. My goal isn't just to hide what you don't like anymore—it's to give you a new tattoo that you're genuinely excited to show off. 🖤

So if you have an old tattoo you've been hiding for years… there may be more options than you think. 👀

I get asked a lot if I do coverups/reworks. The answer is, yes! And with me, I don't believe coverups have to be dark, or just black and grey 😁

This was a fun one to do, and I loved getting to use so many colors!

Give me an idea and a little creative freedom, and this is what happens. 😂

My client came to me knowing two things: he wanted Donatello, and he wanted pizza incorporated somehow. The rest was up to me.

Naturally, my brain decided a regular slice of pizza wasn’t enough… so I created a pizza rose 😁

I had WAY too much fun putting this one together. Taking something recognizable and finding a completely unexpected way to make it unique is one of my favorite parts of designing tattoos.

Donatello + pizza + a little creative freedom = one seriously fun tattoo.

Okay, let’s start a little Sunday tattoo debate. 👀

What is your **tattoo unpopular opinion**?

It can be about tattoo styles, placement, trends, pain, getting matching tattoos, tattoo etiquette… whatever.

What’s one tattoo opinion you have that you KNOW other people are going to disagree with?

I’ll start:

Not every tattoo needs to have a deep meaning. Sometimes “I thought it looked badass” is more than enough reason to permanently put something on your body. 😂

Alright, your turn. Let’s hear them. 👇

A quiet moment, captured forever beneath the cherry blossoms. 🌸

I loved the flow of this piece—bringing a Japanese cherry blossom tree up and around the outer arm and shoulder, with a lone skeleton sitting peacefully beneath its branches.

There’s something strangely beautiful about the contrast between the delicate blossoms and the stillness of the skeleton below. Life, death, beauty, and time all wrapped into one piece.

Definitely one you have to see from every angle.
