Do you know that the FDA is changing the Nutrition Facts Label?? The current one is over 20 years old!!!! Here are some of the new highlights....
1. New design
2. Updated information ( showing added sugars now, updated list of nutrients (adding vitamin D and potassium because of the increase in deficiencies), changes on the label for fat to remove the "total fat" labeling..
3. Updated serving sizes to be more realistic.

I am always promoting eating whole foods that need no label, but sometimes we all eat foods with labels. So glad that we are taking another step in education and disclosure...

In the absence of year-round sunlight exposure to large areas of uncovered skin or with average sunscreen use, modern human Vitamin D levels are 60% below optimal levels and in women over 65, research demonstrates an increase to a 75% deficiency. Studies have shown that Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is superior to the Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) added to dairy and other foods that are needed to obtain sufficient levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D in humans. Vitamin D deficiency can lead to weak bones and muscles; hypertension and cardiovascular disease; diabetes; asthma; colon, prostate, genital, urinary, and breast cancer; autoimmune disorders and in the elderly, mood and cognition decline.
