The body is pretty incredible. 🤍
These two photos are from two very different seasons of my life — pregnancy with my babies, and postpartum recovery.
Pregnancy changes so much more than what we see on the outside. The abdominal wall stretches, the pelvic floor adapts, our breathing mechanics change, our posture shifts, and our entire core system has to accommodate a growing baby (or babies!).
And postpartum recovery isn’t simply about “getting your abs back.”
It’s about reconnecting with your core, rebuilding strength, restoring coordination, addressing pelvic floor symptoms, and learning how to trust your body again.
As a physical therapist, this is one of the areas I feel especially passionate about because I’ve experienced these changes in my own body. I know how amazing the body is — and I also know how confusing it can be when it doesn’t feel like your body anymore.
Whether you’re dealing with pelvic pressure, leaking, abdominal separation, back/hip pain, painful in*******se, weakness, or you simply want guidance getting back to exercise after pregnancy, you don’t have to just accept it as your new normal.
I’m incredibly grateful that I get to help women through this season. 🫶🏼
Your body doesn’t need to be “fixed.” It deserves to be understood, supported, and strengthened.
