🌱💚 A QUICK UPDATE FROM MY MUSTARD SEED REFUGE FARM STORE 💚🌱

Our store will be CLOSED TODAY, Thursday, and Saturday as we take a little time to care for family and support our church community. ❤️🙏🏽

Today, we’re taking time to care for my mom, and on Saturday, we’ll be supporting our church’s Harvest Event. Family, faith, and community are at the heart of everything we do, and we appreciate your understanding as we make time for the things that matter most. 🌻

✨ GOOD NEWS! WE’LL BE OPEN FRIDAY FROM 12 PM–5 PM! ✨

Thank you for your continued love, patience, and support of our small business. We look forward to seeing you Friday! 🌿💛

🌻 55 YEARS AROUND THE SUN | 10 YEARS RELAPSE-FREE 🌻

Never in a million years would I have imagined becoming a farmer! From finance to photography, and now farming, life has taken me on a journey I never could have planned. Yet, this field has brought me the greatest joy and fulfillment. 💚🌱At 55 today, I’m celebrating not only another year of life but 10 years relapse-free from MS! 🙏🏾 God has carried me through every season, and I am forever grateful.

Through My Mustard Seed Urban Farm, My Mustard Seed Refuge Farm Store, and My Mustard Seed Foundation, I get to nourish my family, serve my community, teach aspiring farmers through partnerships with local schools and the College of Southern Maryland, support local farms and vendors, and provide healthier food options to our community! 🌱

This year, I invested in growth through a nine-month small business cohort through CAIC Special thanks to Christi Taste Symmetry | Food Consultant and Andy Andy Mussaw 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺𝘀 for mentorship and web design, Pam Pamela Foulke for our refreshed logos, and Peggy Peggy Cormary Studio for capturing our journey. I’ve learned so much and I’m still growing!

I couldn’t do this alone. My family is my backbone, my village is a blessing, and GOD IS THE ANCHOR OF IT ALL. ✨

As we enter into the next chapter, I’m calling on the ancestors! ✊🏾🌻 As a black farmer, I’m proud to honor the resilience of those that came before us and continue to build a legacy that nourishes future generations.

Here’s to 55 years of lessons, 10 years of healing, deeper roots, bigger seeds and a harvest yet to come! The soil is calling. The ancestors are watching. God is guiding. And, we are just getting started! 🌱

Jesus says, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 ✨

💚🌱 We are truly grateful to TheBayNet.com for sharing our story and highlighting the journey behind My Mustard Seed Urban Farm and My Mustard Seed Refuge Farm Store.

What started as a personal journey of healing and a mustard seed of faith has grown into a farm, a business, and a space where we can nourish, educate, and connect with our community. 🌱✨

Thank you for taking the time to tell our story and shine a light on the work we’re doing right here in Calvert County. We’re incredibly thankful for everyone who has supported us, encouraged us, purchased from us, partnered with us, and believed in the vision. 💚

This is more than farming—it’s about faith, wellness, family, community, and growing something meaningful from the ground up. 🌿

Thank you for helping us share the story! 🙏🏾💚
