We are deeply honored to highlight PosterGirl Project as one of our Community Wellness Partners for the upcoming Root and Bloom Retreat!

Postergirl Project is a community-faith-based wellness and health services hub dedicated to walking alongside individuals as they rebuild, recover, and transition. Through structured peer support circles, local resource routing, and step-by-step navigation, they help people find their voice and advocate for themselves within social service systems—always with absolute dignity.
This partnership hits close to home. Just two years ago, I found myself in need of these very services.

Navigating heavy life transitions can carry so much unnecessary shame. But the truth is, getting through hard seasons is rarely a matter of willpower—it’s having access to the right support and resources.

For Black women and women of color in the Coachella Valley, having Postergirl Project at our retreat is imperative. Healing isn’t just about self-care practices; it’s about systemic support, community advocacy, and knowing that whatever season of life you are in, you don’t have to walk through it alone.

How are you showing up for yourself so you can show up for everything else?

Month two of The Alignment Series with IYCCV is all about coming back into our bodies and slowing down the noise.

We need this time to reset so we have the capacity to give 100% at work, be present for our kids, and follow through on our commitments without burning out.

Come for the practice, stay for the community. After class, IYCCV is hosting us with light refreshments so we can sit together, chat, and celebrate this collaboration properly.

We are so powerful together when we choose to intentionally pour back into ourselves.

Black Wellness Club is partnering with IYCCV to bring you The Alignment Series - a monthly sanctuary dedicated to sustaining and strengthening the physical, mental, and emotional wellness of Black women.

Why Iyengar Yoga specifically?
As Black women, we carry so much in our daily lives—experiencing chronic stress, holding physical tension in our bodies, and constantly adjusting to the world around us. Iyengar yoga is a therapeutic, alignment-based practice that teaches us precision, stability, and deep body awareness. By utilizing props and holding poses, it allows us to literally release the tension stored in our muscles, soothe our nervous systems, and reclaim emotional balance. It is safe, accessible to every body type, and a radical act of collective care.

Aligned in our missions for community wellness, IYCCV is hosting our community every month this Summer and providing nourishing refreshments for us to enjoy together after we flow.

Let’s breathe, move, and ground ourselves together.

A beautiful setting for an incredible cause. We are so thrilled to share a sneak peek of this stunning private estate in the East Valley where Hanson House upcoming wellness workshop Desert Roots.

Black Wellness Club is honored to join in as a partner for this amazing series. Hanson House is bringing the community a beautiful lineup focused on health, healing, and restoration, featuring yoga, aquatics, a soothing sound bath, and a mini bootcamp led by us.

The entire series is in support of the Hanson House Foundation. For families navigating medical crises, cancer treatments, or critical care at our local hospitals, Hanson House steps in as a vital home away from home, providing a peaceful space to heal without the financial burden.

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community in the space of wellness alongside such an impactful organization.

Closing out the spring season with one last lap at Bighorn Overlook. 🏁

If you’ve been meaning to catch us out, this is the one. We’re taking everything we’ve learned this season and bringing it to the trail one last time before we transition into our summer alignment series in June.

Is anyone else feeling stretched thin lately?

Between projects and the semester wrapping up, my study game has had to be on another level. Trying to manage all of that while still showing up for family and friends is a lot and honestly I just need a break in the day.

If you are also feeling that weight, you should come out to Araby Trail this Saturday. It is not about adding another obligation to your list. You can expect a space where you do not have to be “on” or perform for anyone. We just show up, move, and enjoy the air. It is important to get away from the screens and the schedules for a second to be around a mix of new people and familiar faces who understand the hustle.

We are meeting at Araby Trail in Palm Springs this Saturday at 7:30 am.
If you need to step away from the noise and just breathe, come through.
