๐Ÿ’™ Healthy communities start with health literacy.

Did you know that understanding health information is an important part of achieving better health outcomes?

October is Health Literacy Month, an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of helping individuals access, understand, and use health information to make informed healthcare decisions. When patients understand their health information, they can feel more confident asking questions and making decisions about their care.

At Legacy Community Health, we strive to ensure patients have the tools, resources, and support they need to understand their care, navigate the healthcare system, and make decisions with confidence.

Together, we can build healthier communities through better understanding.

๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ’™ A healthier future begins with what we learn today.

During National Health Education Week, we recognize how health education can help you make healthier choices and informed decisions about your health and well-being.

At Legacy Community Health, we believe healthcare goes beyond treatment. We work to ensure our patients have the knowledge and resources they need to prevent illness, manage chronic conditions, and make informed decisions for themselves and their families.

Together, we can build healthier futures through education, prevention, and access to care.

When was your last mammogram? If you can't remember, it may be time for another one.

Laura Saldivar got hers right here, in The Rose's mobile mammography unit. It parks at our clinic so our eligible patients can get screened where they already get their care.

At Legacy Community Health, we believe your health goes beyond the exam room. That's why we partner with organizations like The Rose to bring the care you need closer to home. It's what we call Health Beyond Care.

This National Mammography Day, talk to your Legacy provider or clinician about a mammogram referral. Early detection saves lives.

Your next trip to the pharmacy is about to get a lot more convenient. A Legacy Pharmacy is coming soon to our clinic!

That means another part of your care will be available right where you already come to see your Legacy health care team. In the meantime, you can still take advantage of Legacy Pharmacy services, including free home delivery.

As we celebrate American Pharmacists Month, meet Doris and hear why having a Legacy pharmacy team in your corner can make a difference.

We canโ€™t wait to welcome our own pharmacy team!

๐Ÿ’™ Celebrating Grandparents, Health, and Community

Legacy Community Health was proud to participate in the Grandparents Day Community Event at Holman Street Baptist Church, where families and community members came together for a day of health, wellness, and fun.

Our pharmacy team was excited to connect with attendees by providing health screenings, sharing health education, and helping community members learn about the services available through Legacy Community Health. We also worked alongside other organizations to help ensure attendees had access to important screenings, vaccinations, and community resources.

From group exercises and live performances to meaningful conversations about health and wellness, the event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate grandparents and connect with our community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit with us. We loved meeting new people, sharing resources, and spending the day with so many wonderful families.

๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š Inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals!

Legacy Community Health was proud to participate in the Galena Park Library Career Day, where we connected with students from elementary, middle, and high schools to explore careers in healthcare.

Our team enjoyed talking with students about the pharmacy profession, answering questions about what pharmacists do, and sharing the many career opportunities available in healthcare.

In addition to discussing careers, we introduced students and their families to the services available through Legacy Community Health and shared resources to help them learn more about our programs.

Events like these are a great reminder that today's students are tomorrow's healthcare leaders.

Thank you to the Galena Park Library for hosting this wonderful event and to all the students and families who stopped by to visit us! ๐Ÿ’™
