For someone with dementia and trouble sleeping, I’d keep the support very simple. Too many oils, supplements, or changes at once can actually make evenings more confusing.

The strongest place to start is the day/night rhythm: morning daylight, regular daytime activity, consistent meals, fewer/shorter naps, and the same bedtime routine each night.

Dementia can disrupt the brain’s sleep-wake clock, and Alzheimer’s Association guidance recommends trying these non-drug approaches before sleep medications.

For someone with dementia and trouble sleeping, I’d keep the support very simple. Too many oils, supplements, or changes at once can actually make evenings more confusing.

Some days just get on top of you. You know the ones. 💛

When my mind is racing and everything feels like a bit too much, this is the little ritual I come back to.

🌿 I apply Adaptiv and Balance over my heart, breathe them in from my hands, then gently swipe them across my forehead.

🌿 Then I place one drop each of Copaiba and Frankincense under my tongue.

The whole thing takes less than five minutes.

I can't tell you that it changes my circumstances... but it often changes how I feel about them.

It's amazing how taking a moment to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with myself can help me approach the rest of the day with a clearer mind.
