QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from su***de.
Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a su***de crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

Join us September 23–25, 2026, from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM daily at the Loneman School Field for a hands-on Tipi Raising Workshop facilitated by Charlie Cuny-Brave Heart & Starr Cuny.

This workshop is a wonderful opportunity for community members to come together, learn, share, and reconnect with Lakota teachings and cultural practices. ❤️🪶

✨ FREE & OPEN TO ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS ON THE PINE RIDGE RESERVATION!

Our Cangleska Wounspe program works to:
• Improve continuity of care and follow-up for youth identified to be at risk for su***de
• Increase access to clinical services and Lakota healing ceremonies
• Strengthen coordination among community and youth-serving programs through prevention, intervention, and postvention grounded in Lakota values

The Cangleska Wounspe Program is excited to host the American Indian Life Skills (AILS) Key Leader Orientation Training!

📍 202 East Adams Street, Rapid City, SD
🎓 Facilitated by Dr. Teresa LaFromboise

This three-day training provides an opportunity to learn the American Indian Life Skills curriculum, build skills to support youth and communities, and strengthen su***de prevention efforts.
