My Family Veterinary Hospital More than just medicine for your pet

As a precautionary measure during the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19), My Family Veterinary Hospital is taking additional precautionary measures to ensure the safety of clients as we as all the staff, so that we can continue to provide essential veterinary care for our patients.



Please consider this before coming to the hospital:

Have you or anyone in your household, exhibited flue-like symptoms in the past 14 days? These will include fatigue, aches, fever, or cough.

Have you traveled outside the United State in the past 14 days?

Have you been in contact with anyone that has tested positive for the COVID-19 Virus or anyone exhibiting flue like symptoms?

If you answer "yes" to any of these questions please do not come to the hospital. If your animal has a life-treatening condition and needs to be seen, please have an alternate person bring the animal to the hospital; we will be happy to authorize another person on your account so that your animal can be treated immediately.

If you answer "yes" to any of these questions and your animal does not have a life -threatening condition, we need to reschedule your appointment for a later date.



To limit exposure during the current COVID-19 outbreak, to follow the Center for disease control (CDC) guidelines and for the safety of our team, doctors and clients, we encourage the following actions starting today and lasting for as long as the recommendations are in place.



Please do not enter the building, in order to minimize contact distances is really important.

Please call us to alert our team of your arrival. Our staff will come to you and get your pet form your car. Communications can be done over the phone or in person at a distance, outside the clinic, in your car.

If for any extraordinary reason client can't stay in your car and the visit will require the pet owner to enter the building with the pet, Please limit only one person to accompany your pet into the building.

Please wash your hands or use hand sanitizer when you arrive and throughout your visit. We are currently a no hand shake zone. Cover your mouth if you need to cough, keep your pet collars and carrier clean with a disinfectant solution, and keep the distance between anyone in the clinic, at least 6 feet if possible.

You may reach us by pone at 301-349-4790 for any medical concern about your pet. If you need any food or medication refills, same protocol will be in place. Please stay in your car and staff will bring the products for you.

Update on the community effort to get supplies to Puerto Rico. Thank you Poolesville community for the donations. Please continue to help Puerto Rico with supplies. The people in Puerto Rico really needs the help. We will continue to collect donations long term. This week we will be packing the donations we have receive and we will be driving to Philadelphia to send all the Boxes to Puerto Rico. However, this is not the only trip. We will continue to accept donations and send it to Puerto Rico. Right now we are doing and effort to at least helping directly 4 towns in Puerto Rico. Please Help!!!!
