Yes, HPV can happen after menopause! 😮
Right when you’re thinking that you don’t have to worry anymore, it’s still important to get a pap and HPV test, even after a hysterectomy.
There are several possible reasons for this, that I’ll be going into in more detail over the next couple weeks.
Two of the main reasons are:
✅ Estrogen levels are lower va**nally
✅ Lactobacillus levels are lower va**nally
All of this is to say, menopause is an important time for ladies to be paying attention to their va**nal health! 🚺
And when they do, they keep HPV away.
I just spoke to a patient today who I helped to clear HPV by helping her navigate the changes of peri-menopause.
Are you in the midst of menopausal changes? Would you like more help? 🤔
Let me know your questions in the comments, and I’ll address them in the upcoming posts.
Menopause does not have to be a time of increased risk of cancer when you have the right information and support.💕
