Looking forward to rocking it this year as it’s Studio 54!!! Celebrated my birthday this week - woke up to a stunning sunrise, took some kitchen garden flowers out of the flower press, and put in some cranberry leaves. Soaked up all the inspiring art at Ogunquit Museum Of American Art. Just brought home some work that has been at up at the Brick Church for the Performing Arts this summer! Feeling grateful and excited to see all that is created in the studio this winter!!!

Maine Days returns to the Gardens on Friday, May 29; Saturday, May 30; and Sunday, May 31, and free tickets for Maine residents are still available—but they won’t last forever.

If you’re hoping to visit during this special weekend, now’s the time to reserve your spot. Tickets are first-come, first-served, with a limit of 8 per household. Advanced reservations and a valid Maine ID are required.

Today is Trans Day of Visibility! I’m celebrating by remembering that Wabanaki People have honored people with non binary gender identities with powerful leadership roles in their communities since time immemorial. May this remind us that they have always been here in this place leading, as have trans people. Long before Maine became Maine, or even the US became the US. We can’t celebrate trans people or trans history without celebrating their culture, history, and communities!! Check out the Youth and Cultural Center Wabanaki Public Health & Wellness is building at the center of Downtown Bangor and consider doing whatever you can to increase their visibility by investing in what they are building for the benefit of all of us! 10,000+ years of visibility and leadership matters!!! It is what has shaped this state and this nation from first light!

Wabanaki Public Health is transforming part of downtown Bangor into a youth and cultural center, with construction starting in spring.
