Spoiler alert! They are the same.

Consistent recovery habits are more important to me than a rigid workout program.

When life gets in the way and we aren’t able to work out, we still need movement, good sleep, and good nutrition. A simple 5–10 minute daily routine can help us stay on track even when we can’t get a workout in.

For me, breath work is at the top of the list. And the first thing I do with clients is help them build their own routine.

Had some extra time this morning, so my morning routine got upgraded.

Sat in the sun while I had my morning coffee. It’s simple, but I notice a definitive change in afternoon energy. I get home and have the patience for kids’ activities, and I sleep better at night.

It’s one of the first things I suggest to clients dealing with afternoon crashes or disrupted sleep.

THE DANCE | EP. 4: LEAD — SHRINKING THE LIST OF AGGRAVATORS

I used to try to control my pain. Now I just control the stimulus.

I avoided movements that would trigger flare-ups, but over time the list of triggers kept growing.

Now, after improving my movement patterns, improving my nutrition, and giving my body what it needs to recover, every few months I intentionally do a workout that involves former triggers.

I make sure I’m feeling good and well rested first. Then during the workout and afterward, I pay attention to how my body responds.

That’s how I’ve successfully shrunk the list of aggravators and kept pain from progressively limiting what I can do.

It’s not that I’ve built a groundbreaking system. It’s not that I’m the greatest coach on the planet.

I’m just good at recognizing patterns, finding the common denominator, and helping people find a manageable path forward.

The path is often easier than people expect, or really even want, until the changes start to become evident.

Comment RESET and I’ll send you a link to set up a free consultation. I’ll tell you where I think we should start.

THE DANCE | EP. 3: LEAD
Planning makes healthier decisions automatic.

My 9–5 can be chaotic. Sometimes I’m inhaling lunch in 15 minutes or less.

I used to let my circumstances control the narrative. I don’t have time to worry about nutrition. I’d eat whatever was in the break room, skip lunch altogether, then go home starving.

Now I make sure I at least have protein prepped and ready.

Healthy decisions get a lot easier when you’ve already made them ahead of time.

Sitting for hours doesn’t have to leave you unprepared to move when it matters.

Try this between tasks. Small reset, big difference over time.

The Dance — Episode 2 | FOLLOW

Woke up this morning with some tightness and borderline pain in my low back. I’m solo dad with the kids today.

Today I follow. 15 minutes of breath work and some light core activation. Workout canceled.

The goal didn’t change. Today’s plan did.
