How the health sector can lead on climate, health, and equity

"The health care sectors’ oath to “do no harm” cannot solely focus on treating the mass of patients descending through their doors amidst a pandemic, heatwave, or disastrous hurricane. If the sector is to remain viable, it must play a far larger role — as an anchor in their community addressing the conditions that perpetuate these public health disasters."
Find out how health care can heal using its purchasing power in this The Hill Changing America opinion piece by our founder Gary Cohen.

A new coalition aims to decrease the health care system's carbon footprint, produce safer products and services, and grow economic opportunities for minority- and women-owned businesses.

Health Care Without Harm is an amazing organization.
I’ve joined with more than 400 health and medical professionals in signing a medical excuse note for the students striking for climate action on September 20. We are in a #ClimateHealthEmergency and need to act!
Dear Practitioners, We are excited to bring you The Electromagnetic Fields Conference 2019, September 6-8, the first conference of its kind this coming September in Santa Cruz, CA. If you are involved in patient care, you cannot afford to miss this conference. As a practitioner, you will walk away with exactly what you need to diagnose and treat the symptoms of radiation exposure from today's wireless technology.
HCWH friends: we (Energy Justice Network) just got a law passed in Baltimore that should force the nation’s largest medical waste incinerator to close! Check out the Baltimore Clean Air Act:
Happy to be part of www.OrganicforAll.org. A groundbreaking study shows toxic pesticides dropped up to 95% after one week on an organic diet! Organic can't be just for the wealthy, we need to make #OrganicForAll.
If you really are serious about HCWH, you will start preaching about Indoor Air Quality. This article in FORBES has disappeared, but you can see it once existed... the title speaks for itself.
How can we Partner with HCWH and get some enforcement of Fragrance Free Policies within the healthcare system as we have increases of Environmental Illness? Toni Temple wrote a hospital primer titled "Healthier Hospitals" and had a plan on disseminating across healthcare, unfortunately she passed in 2016. Healthy air is a right and fragrance products are a toxic choice. Please show direction and whom to get this started.
