Tralyte Health Tralyte Health is building an at-home, metabolic monitoring platform, beginning with calcium.

Just as home glucose monitoring reshaped diabetes care, we are working to expand access to essential metabolic data beyond the clinic.

This past week was a big one for us.

We celebrated our first birthday and debuted the prototype of TralyteCare, our patient‑operated calcium testing system, at the International HypoPARA Conference in Phoenix. What a week!

For the first time, people could see how home calcium testing might work and why it matters. Right now, getting a calcium level requires a venous blood draw in a lab. TralyteCare is designed to change that by giving patients a way to check their calcium or urine at home or at the point-of-care.

We’re early, but this prototype is a meaningful step forward for all patients who have a calcium imbalance. Thank you to the HypoPARAthyroidism Association, Inc. for inviting us!

The TralyteCare prototype is on its way to Phoenix!
Our team is attending the International Hypoparathyroidism Conference 2026 later this week to share its progress on the calcium monitor and connect with the community that inspires our work. From our January 30th kickoff with the engineering team to today, this has been a remarkable period of growth and momentum.

Thank you to the hundreds of patients who have written us to voice their support during this journey. Your words of encouragement have meant so much.

VCU’s innovation ecosystem continues to grow, and this recent feature highlights an important part of that momentum. By pairing university researchers with experienced operators, Tech Transfer and Ventures and Activation Capital are helping founders build stronger, more resilient startups.

At Tralyte Health, we’re proud to be part of this community of translational science in Richmond, Virginia. Bringing new electrolyte diagnostics to patients requires collaboration, infrastructure, and a shared commitment to impact, and Central Virginia is building exactly that.

Last month, Virginia Commonwealth University Research and Innovation shared this video about the early science behind what we’re building at Tralyte Health. Reposting it today because the momentum since then has been phenomenal.

After a HypoPARAthyroidism Association, Inc. webinar featuring Tralyte's co-founders, we heard from patients, caregivers, families, and clinicians around the world — including one hypoparathyroidism patient writing from a hospital bed in Europe. Their messages are a constant reminder of why this work matters so much and how urgently better tools are needed.

People living with chronic calcium disorders deserve faster, easier access to their own data. Our long‑term vision is to bring key metabolic tests out of the lab and into the home. We’re starting with calcium because it’s the hardest science, the most urgent, and the most overlooked.

In the past month, we’ve presented at the Tom Tom Festival Innovation Summit and at Virginia Bio Thrive — two gatherings that bring together leaders across Virginia’s life sciences community. We’ve also begun early conversations with mission‑aligned investors who understand the scale of what’s possible with this new patient tool. — And more patients and their families have pledged support through our Wefunder campaign, a pathway designed specifically so they can be part of building this with us.

Engineering, clinical planning, and partnerships are all moving quickly. Grateful for the collaboration with VCU and the Hypoparathyroidism Association, for the support from Activation Capital and Innovation Partnership Corporation, and for the broader life sciences community that continues to push this work forward with enthusiasm.

More updates soon.
